Perilous Times — September 8, 2024

Introduction

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”Isaiah 12: 2 – 3

Behold, God is my salvation. God is Lord Jesus. I will trust, and not be afraid. Now, those with salvation, and those with trust, will not be afraid.

No matter, terror by night, sabotage, crime waves, no matter what happens by day, and there’s many crimes in the daytime now, burglaries of all types, murders, all these things that are taking place, it makes no difference, it said. I will not be afraid. Cautious, watchful, prayerful, and obedient to the word, but not afraid. Not afraid of Satan, not afraid of terror by night, or what’s going to take place.

Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and not be afraid. I will not be afraid, for the Lord Jehovah is my strength. He’s my song and my salvation. Therefore, I’ve got joy going now. Therefore, with joy shall ye draw water of salvation out of the wells. “Wells” here has an “s” on it.

He’s got all kinds of rivers of water running salvation. And you reach in there with that soul, and you get that soul with all that different type of salvation coming through there, strong and powerful. It just goes into revelation, and power, gifts, and all type of things in anointings, divine love, the fruits of the Spirit, all kinds of wells breaking forth, like rivers, springing up in there.

Every time you use your salvation to testify, every time you use your salvation to pray for the lost, every time you use your salvation to win somebody, or every time, no matter how you use your salvation to do it, you get fresh water because the well is deep.

“Behold saith the Almighty praise is the guardian of the soul and the protector of thy body!”

(Ps. 91: 1 – “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. And the secret place is in praising the Lord, repeating His Word! (Bible).

When you praise the Lord Jesus, the Almighty God, from your heart, you are glorifying Him, you are guarding your soul against all the darts of Satan, and you are protecting your body (Psalm 50: 23, Psalm 121: 7 – 8, Psalm 23: 4).

Lord Jesus, you are our salvation, and that is why we can praise you from our heart. We have your eternal life. We can go about our daily lives, not afraid of what the devil may bring, for you are our protector. You are our song. When you appear shortly in the translation, we shall also be changed to meet you in the air. Thank you, Lord, for all that you do for us.

Summary of the Sermon

We listened to a sermon titled “Perilous Times”, CD # 1110 (Part 1), preached by Brother Neal Frisby.

In the sermon, Brother Frisby said:

In events that’s happening around the country, around the world, people are getting psychosomatics, paranoid. They don’t know which way to turn or which way to run next, and then they turn on the news, or read the newspapers, and sometimes, people say, you know, I don’t even want to watch the news or listen to it anymore, they say, because I can’t stand it. You might as well face facts.

If you know Bible prophecy, what you are seeing on the news is predicted to take place exactly on time, and it was predicted that a seed like you will be here to see it, or either be around it.

That you either accept the Lord Jesus or turn Him down. It’s all predicted in the Scriptures.

You see crises, and you see all kinds of saboteurs, and different things in war, and all of these things taking place, and people dying on the ground, riots, and rebellion, so forth.

And it’s causing, because of events, there’s a disquieting to it. People are, seem to be afraid, terror by night, but David told us about the terror by night and how God will handle it.

And you look around in the great cities, and people are afraid to go out tonight. They are afraid they’re going to be assaulted or burglarized.

Now, how will you like living in a prison, and so forth like that? And all kinds of electronic eyes, and scanners there. It seems like the whole world is going into prison. And then, if that wasn’t bad enough, it seems, and that creates a lot of mental problems. It brings on oppression. The world, right now, it seems like that is the standard for the world.

It’s even affecting the children of God, and it’s being created for a purpose in the land by Satan, and so forth like that. And if that weren’t bad enough, people can’t even travel out of the country. Terrorists get them on the airplane, terrorists get them on the ship, and every which way they turn, it seems that they are cornered and trapped in.

But the children of the Lord have the freedom of the Lord. But because of all these events, you begin to yield like the world, and let the events bother you. The first thing you know, oppression will begin to come on you.

Why is all these things being allowed? Why is Satan doing this? Why the onslaught, things that are taking place?

What does the wisdom and prophecy of the Lord tell us to do in this hour, at the hour that you live in? Not only prophecy tells us what to do, but the wisdom of the Lord is telling us something. To prepare, and to be strong in the Lord, because we are nearing the coming of Christ.

So, the powers of darkness will plan to confuse, disturb, and put fear in the hearts of God’s true children. Besides the world, that isn’t good enough, he’s beginning to track, and always has, if he can, to attack the children of the Lord. And if he can oppress them, and move on them on oppression, he can steal every bit of faith they’ve got. He can get the victory to them, and he can bring them into such depression until they don’t even know where they’re at, and they become like the world. And they wonder and think God is a million miles, and the Lord is right in front of them, all around them, inside them, and everywhere. He’s the great One.

So, we see, with all the major events, and that isn’t anything what’s going to come upon the world, just before the coming of the Lord.

But, oh, what wisdom, and what prophecy, the Lord, He said one time, He said those that keep the patience of the word that He gave them, have patience therefore, brethren, in James. He’s going to give that, such powerful and such patience to His saints they’ve never seen before.

So prophetically, the world at this time will be in the state of unrest, perplexity, but those who believe in Jesus will receive a confident power from the anointing of the Lord.

Now, the anointing is here, the power of the Lord is upon the earth. But the people have to reach certain conditions, they have to get in a certain frame of heart and mind to the Lord. And as they do, they begin to draw that anointing, and they’ll get into such a place, and such a hungry in their heart, that they begin to draw more on the anointing. And that anointing, and power, will begin to surge.

In the anointing, you say, what is the anointing? It is extreme confidence. It is so powerful and confident, you have to watch you’ll overstep your bound. It is powerful, and He guides it that way. And some people say, you mean it just makes you feel like you can move trains, and mountains out of the way, buildings, tall buildings, move out of the way. That is the power of the Lord.

Now, the world has its fakery, their bluff, they sound that they are confident, all of this. Some of them have some type of confidence, but the spiritual confidence of the Lord is powerful, healing the sick, casting out devils. They can’t do that.

Casting out devils, creating, bringing deliverance to the mental mind, the insane, the lunatic. God’s power is potent, it is powerful, it is such a force that Satan has to sit down, and get away from it, or move on back from it. That’s what you want. That is what’s coming at the end of the age, and that’s what’s coming in such a world of such perplexity, and unrest, and that is exactly, prophetically, the Lord said that the world will be at, at the time of His coming.

But at this time, prophecy will be a more sure word. The Lord will give more of a light concerning His Scriptures, more light on the power that’s coming to His people, more faith, such tremendous, powerful faith. But you can’t sit around oppressed. You can’t sit around with a lot of anxiety. You can’t sit around and let the world’s worries take you down.

Then the Lord said here, He will give us a confident power at that time, just before He returns. These conditions will exist upon the world, but He’ll give a confident anointing. The Lord said, behold, I give you power over all the power of the enemy.

Behold, God is my salvation. God is Lord Jesus. I will trust, and not be afraid. Now, those with salvation, and those with trust, will not be afraid.

So, what Satan does, when he begins to bring terror, he begins to bring fear, and unrest, and confusion, and perplexity, then oppression follows it, and then he begins to oppress the people on every side that he can oppress, and then it seems to absorb the confidence, it weakens their faith. Finally, if it gets to a certain point to where their faith runs out into doubt. Then it gets worse. The dark shadows of depression gets ahold of them. Then mental powers reach in there and gets hold of them, and next thing you know, they are running.

But be confident in the Lord, in His power.

Sometimes, people condemn themselves in such a way that they bring oppression upon themselves. Sometimes, it’s not outright sin, it’s just that, maybe, they’re not doing right, they’re talking about people too much, or they are doing this, or not praying, maybe they are doing something else, and they begin to condemn themselves in such a point they can oppress themselves.

One of the things I watch that people don’t condemn themselves much on; now, it’s not an outright sin; and that is taking care of their body. They don’t seem to ever condemn themselves on that; that’s breaking the law of health is what I’m trying to say.

When you break the laws of health, it’s disobedient, not exactly an outright sin, but it’s breaking the laws of the body. And sometimes, people, by breaking the laws of the body, they will allow worry to get such a place, it works on them mentally. They will allow fear to get to such a place that it begins to affect their thinking and faith. They’ll allow themselves to get confused. And some people, they don’t sleep right, maybe they don’t eat right, or take care of their health. Sometimes, it’s not really a gift of healing that they need all of the time, but it’s to obey God’s law much of the time.

And other people, maybe something legal that they can do, they’ll turn around and condemn themselves because they don’t know what sin is, from not sin, and they get in such a confused state. If you look in the word, it will tell you. And if you really don’t know in your heart, there’s forgiveness. That’s the way to defeat anything that you don’t know about. God knows what He’s doing.

Some people, you know, this it the truth, they’ll say, they watch the News, maybe a commercial comes across, they’re condemned; I’ve sinned, I saw something. Well, if you’re walking around the streets, you’ll see it too.

Even some things that are not outright sins, it’s just something, maybe that they shouldn’t be doing. God will probably say something to them, or something like that, in the Holy Spirit. But they’ll condemn themselves in such a way till they be oppressed. You’ll want always freshly say, Lord, if anything is in my heart, if I said anything about anybody, I haven’t prayed like I should, done like I should, you’re a great God, and you’ll forgive me, but I’m certainly not going to let Satan oppress me.

And Jesus was anointed, going about doing good, and healing all. Satan got mad at me trying to heal every one of them. Jesu knew Himself 100% wouldn’t be healed, but that didn’t stop Him. The Apostles knew 100% won’t be healed, but that didn’t stop them. And Jesus went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil.

And today, the oppression of the world coming on people at first, and then later, many of those people will have such mental depressions, their minds will be in such a state of confusion and worry, they’ll have to go to the mental hospitals, and so forth like that. And they get in such a way as that, come on in and affect the church, and so forth like that.

The thing for you to do now, sinners in the world automatically have depression out in there. I don’t care how much they are jumping, how much they are laughing out in there. There is an amount of oppression that comes upon them in there, hours where they are not with anybody, so forth like that.

And the people that are converted by the Lord Jesus Christ, He’ll wipe that out, but it won’t stay out unless you want it out.

And Satan’s duty? Why the onslaught? He wants to bring it on the world in such a way, such pressure, that they’ve never seen from international crises, economic crises, later on in the age, famine crises, all of the different kind of terrorist crises scaring people, and the cities at night, and so forth. He’s trying to bring all of this lawless on, because, why the onslaught, because finally, it said in the Bible, for the people will pay any price, finally, for peace. And when they do, they sell their soul in the mark of the beast.

Remember, don’t stay in oppression. Stay full of the power of God, because by that, when you get like that, he’ll reach in and steal that victory. He’ll get hold of that word, and he’ll finally, instead of being a joyful, and a happy, and a merriment, Christian, you’ll say, well, you don’t know where I stand. You better know where you stand.

So, don’t let, by the world events, and by the unrest, the paranoids, all of the things happening today, and all the world of alcoholism, narcotics, and all of the things that’s happening out there, don’t allow that kind of a spirit to drag you down, stay with the Lord Jesus.

There is tremendous power all around us, that we’ve never, never in your life, can imagine for such a time as this, saith the Lord.

Isaiah said, behold, God is my salvation. I trust, and I will not be afraid for the Lord Jehovah is my strength, and my song. See, He’s also my song. In song, you get happy. He also is become my salvation. You’ve got Jesus, you’ve got salvation. You’ve got God, you’ve got salvation.

Therefore, with joy. How do we deal with this? Therefore, with joy, shall ye draw. That’s the effort, but you do it with joy. Now, if somebody is going to half-heartedly draw on something, and they’re going to half-heartedly do something, they are not going to get much out of it.

Some people with their salvation, they just kind of half-heartedly draw on it. They are half-heartedly Christians. This is the Lord. Other people pull a little bit more, and they are a little bit more down the road. They are saved, as the Bible said, but by the skin of their teeth.

But the Bible said that He’s got wells of it.

So, with joy. Now how do you do it? You allow the song in your heart, he sings a song too, and then it comes to joy.

If you’ve got one well of salvation, you’ve got another kind. What it means is that He’s got all kinds of rivers of water running salvation. And you reach in there with that soul, and you get that soul with all that different type of salvation coming through there, strong and powerful. It just goes into revelation, and power, gifts, and all type of things in anointings, divine love, the fruits of the Spirit, all kinds of wells breaking forth, like rivers, springing up in there.

Now, how do we do that? Joy, we draw with joy out of the wells of salvation. We are happy. We put our full effort behind it, and we’ll pull it out of there with joy, is our salvation.

Wells means unlimited, deep. Do you know wells deep? It’s not on top of the ground like a river. There is no end to God. It’s a bottomless well. How many of you read in the Bible He is infinite?

Do you know there’s such a salvation, such a joy of salvation? Faith is what gets you going into different parts of these wells of salvation, how strong your faith is. And there’s such power.

If you’ve got faith and power in your heart, and you reach on out in that salvation, there’s pleasures for evermore on every side.

Wells means unlimited deep joy and experiences in the Lord’s power.

If you want same water on top, it will stay on top. Just keep taking it out and keeps filling up with fresh water. Keep using your salvation, keep filling it up, keep pulling it out. My cup runneth over, David said.

The wells of salvation, fresh water, so you use it to witness. And if you don’t use it, you might stagnate. Always use it by praising the Lord. It’s the salvation and life in you, and that salvation, that will turn you deeper in the Lord, and with the salvation, which is eternal life, “I am the light of the world”, and He’s the water of the world, salvation of the world.

If you have salvation of the world, it will turn it right deeper in there, and as you begin to use the salvation to praise the Lord, you get fresh water.

Use it to praise God, and thanksgiving, and you begin to worship God with all of your heart, and everything, you’d be surprised how much confidence you’ve got, and your oppressions long gone.

Now, remember you have tools, saith the Lord, that you have overlooked. You have tools that I have given you in the Scriptures of the word that can defeat every type of the enemy, every evil power, and demon power, that comes up against you. Do not overlook these tools, they are weapons of warfare.

Salvation, and joy, is a weapon of warfare. Confidence and great power in faith, the gifts of healing and miracles, power and warfare. Prophecy, power and warfare. And the fruits of the Spirit, power and warfare. There’s all kinds of the anointings of the Holy Spirit that move around in all types of these. You have weapons, and that was the Lord.

The true path, don’t overlook these weapons that God has given us, the full armor.

The Bible said, behold, put the full armor upon us to withstand any dart of the devil, or anything of the world, to oppress, depress, to bring mental conditions, to sap your joy. Oppression finally saps the joy. Finally, it just saps your faith. Finally, it begins to create a backward Christian. And finally, they get so far back they can’t even see where they are at. The thing to this is hold onto the power of God, and don’t overlook these things that the word of God, one of the greatest weapons in this Bible here, is the word of the living God. You use that and God will prosper you in everything that you do that’s in the things that we mentioned. His hand will be upon you. It will not return void.

In the 91st Psalm, David, the prophet said, be not afraid of the terror by night. Terror by night, I looked, I saw people afraid. And the pestilence, he said, that walketh, one thousand will fall on one side, five thousand, ten thousand, on another side. What he saw was some kind of chemical warfare, a poison, and when he saw the vapor like, it looked like, wherever he was walking, they were falling, he saw the trail of them falling by the thousands in the vision of the Lord.

And he said, or at noon day, the destruction that wasteth. That’s radiation. He saw some at noonday. It just wasteth everything in its path.

And he said the arrows, ordinary arrow is not going to cause ten thousand to fall at one time. That’s missile of some kind, with chemical warfare, that’s in the 91st Psalm in there.

But he said, it didn’t make any difference, where the plagues will come from, or the terror by night that’ll strike. He said the Lord will be with you.

He said you should walk on devils, dragons, and serpents.

Ten thousand will fall, but he said, it will not come nigh you.

The pestilence that walketh, he saw it, not running, but he just saw him go down as it come by, live a vapor. He thought it was walking, they were falling like you see people fall over. It looked like it walk that way, and he got to see the vision. But he said, and God will give you long life, and your salvation, and will give you long life.

So, he said, by terror by night, or the destruction that comes at the noonday, or the arrow that comes to destroy, he said, it’s no difference. God’s hand will be with you.

And the Psalmist said, and also Isaiah said, be not afraid for the Lord is my salvation, He is my life, so it don’t make any difference.

The children of the Lord, they’re standing with the Lord Jesus.

So, you feel him oppressing on your job, oppressing where you are at, oppressing around you in school, and all about the neighborhood where you are at, or the terror that Satan puts on you, remember all these Scriptures tonight. He said, I shall not be afraid, the Lord God is my salvation, and with joy. Satan sees that, I can’t go up against that.

Perilous times we’re living in, creating oppression over the earth, paranoid, psychotic conditions, anxiety, all of these things, but there’s a cure, and the cure comes from the Lord, in the confident anointing. He will give you peace and He will give you rest.

Scripture Reading

The devil has a grand plan in bringing these economic crises, crime waves, etc. He wants to make people finally accept the mark of the beast during the great tribulation.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”Revelation 13: 16 – 17

During the great tribulation, all religions in the world, where there is no true salvation in the Lord Jesus, will merge, as there will be only one religion, the worship of Satan and the worship of the Antichrist.

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?”Revelation 13: 4

Satan has always wanted to be worshipped. Matthew 4: 9 – 10: “And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE.”

The Lord Jesus is “The mighty God”. Satan is the one that must worship the Lord Jesus. Isaiah 9: 6: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
