Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, May 2, 2021

Introduction:  Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, May 2, 2021

This sermon talks about the fact that there are many Scriptures which bring out that the Lord Jesus was the Lord God Himself in human form.

Isaiah 9:6 calls the Lord Jesus “The mighty God”.  John 1: 3 states:  “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”  Colossians 1: 16 – 17 states:  “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”

If anyone were to state that these Scriptures and many more are not correct, then that person does not understand the things of God among the living.

The Lord Jesus, “The mighty God”, occupies all three offices – the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, May 2, 2021

We listened to a sermon titled “JESUS THE CREATOR”, CD # 1745, preached by Brother Neal Frisby on 5/31/81 (PM)

In the sermon, Brother Frisby said:

If you believe that Jesus is the Creator, you will have no problem making the rapture.

Romans 14: 9:  “For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.”

John 1: 3:  “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

1 Timothy 6: 15 – 16:  “Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see:  to whom be honour and power everlasting.  Amen.”

The Lord can appear in many forms, including as a man, as an angel or with glorified body.

The Lord Jesus is the God of creation; there is no end to His Kingdom.

We will be joint-heirs with Him.

Romans 1: 16:  “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

John 4: 13 – 14:  “Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”

Unify the Lord Jesus in your heart and you will have a revival in your soul.

Acts 4: 12:  “Neither is there salvation in any other:  for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Matthew 10: 28:  “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:  but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

1 Timothy 6: 19:  “Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.”

I started the sermon:

Psalm 90: 1 – 2:  “LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.  Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.”

The Scripture is referring to a specific person.  It states:  “thou” art God.  It states:  “even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.”  It means there was never a time that this person was not God.

Psalm 102: 25 – 27:  “Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth:  and the heavens are the work of thy hands.  They shall perish, but thou shalt endure:  yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:  But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.”

This Scripture again is referring to a specific person.  It states:  “thou” hast laid the foundation of the earth; “thou” shalt endure; “thou” shalt change the earth and the heavens as they wax old; “thou” art the same, and thy years shall have no end.”

The earth and the heavens that are created will wax old and be changed, but God shall remain the same for eternity:  “But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.”

Who is this God?

Isaiah 9: 6:  “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:  and the government shall be upon his shoulder:  and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

This Scripture is referring to the Lord Jesus that was born as our Saviour – “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.”  It states this person is “The” mighty God.  The Lord Jesus that walked on the streets of Galilee was “The mighty God” in human form.

You cannot make the Father higher than Jesus since Jesus is “The mighty God”.  Isaiah 9: 6 also identifies the Lord Jesus as “The everlasting Father”.

The Lord Jesus, “The mighty God”, occupies all three offices – the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

John 1: 3:  “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

When you are looking at Jesus, you are looking at the Creator of all things that existed in the past, you are looking at the Creator of all things that exist now and you are looking at the Creator of all things that will exist in the future for eternity.

Isaiah 43: 10-11:  “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen:  that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:  before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.  I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”

There was no God formed before the Lord Jesus and there shall be no God formed after Him.  There can be no other God besides the Lord Jesus because He is “The mighty God” (Isaiah 9:6).  He is our Saviour.  He was God who came in human form to die on the cross for our sins and has given eternal life to whoever will believe in Him (John 3: 15).

Colossians 1: 14 – 17:  “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him:  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”

You have the forgiveness of your sins now, not sometime in the future, if you have truly asked the Lord Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins.  “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins”.

God is invisible, but here He came in the form of the Lord Jesus.  We could now see God walking among us in the form of a human being, as “the image of the invisible God”.

For by the Lord Jesus “were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:  all things were created by him, and for him”.

All things that you see and all things that you do not see were created by the Lord Jesus.  No matter what you may see on any planet or in any galaxy, it was created by the Lord Jesus.  It states:  “all things were created by him, and for him”.

The Lord Jesus is “before all things, and by him all things consist.”  He is “The mighty God”.

I read from Scroll # 17:

BEHOLD SAITH THE ALMIGHTY – read Rev. 5: 6 – “Ye cannot number me as a man knoweth numbers in the material world, but in the spiritual world, I am infinite without number.  And the 7 revelations of me are my word.  In the beginning I was that word and dwelt among men (in Jesus)  Behold at first my own disciples did not understand this, but Paul my Beloved servant declared it, when he said – For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visable and invisable, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities or powers:  All things were created by Him and for Him.  Read. Col. 1: 13 – 17 – “I am God in the heavens!  I am God in the Son! I am God in the Holy Ghost!  I am one in three fold manifestation.  And if any man saith unto thee this prophecy is false, then he understandeth not the things of God, among the living.  And I will appoint his portion among the hypocrites, and his days shall quickly be forgotten.  I am Alpha!  and Omega!  The first!  and the last!  I am the Lord there is no other God besides me.  I am hidden in Jesus, revealed to my Elect, whom I foreknew from the beginning!  Who I will give power to foresee me (as I am) in my Glory – (body)  Even the mystery which had been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to my saints.  AMEN!

It states:  “I am God in the heavens!  I am God in the Son! I am God in the Holy Ghost!  I am one in three fold manifestation.  And if any man saith unto thee this prophecy is false, then he understandeth not the things of God, among the living.

If anyone were to state that various Scriptures (for example, Isaiah 9: 6 referring to Jesus as “The mighty God”, John 1: 3 stating all things were made by the Lord Jesus and Colossians 1: 14 – 17 stating for by the Lord Jesus, all things were created) are not correct, then that person does not understand the things of God among the living.

If this person does not understand the things of God among the living, how then will he or she be able to please Him?

Hebrews 11: 6:  “But without faith it is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Romans 10: 17:  “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Jesus told the Jews that before Abraham existed, He has existed.

John 8: 57 – 58:  “Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?  Jesus said unto them, Verily, Verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”

The Lord Jesus has existed from eternity because He is “The mighty God”.

Jesus told Philip that he was looking right at the Father because He is the Father.

John 14: 7 – 9:  “If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also:  and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.  Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.  Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?  he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?”

Isaiah 9: 6 calls Jesus “The everlasting Father”.

Anyone that does not understand the things of God among the living, because he or she rejected His word, will this person understand the things of God among the dead?

Luke 16:  22 – 25:  “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom:  the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.  And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.  But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things:  but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.”

The things of God will become obvious to anyone who is now dead, who rejected the free gift of salvation while he or she was alive, but it will be too late then.

Ephesians 1: 7: “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace”.

The importance of the Creator coming in human form, and paying the price for our sins on the cross shows the value He attaches to our salvation.  All eternity is tied to the Lord Jesus and He gives us eternal life.  John 3: 15:  “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

Acts 4: 12:  “Neither is there salvation in any other:  for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

The Lord is stating you need to come to salvation while you are still alive; it states we “must” be saved, for all have sinned.

You cannot obtain salvation in any other way other than through the Lord God Himself.  He was crucified for our sins and He is the one that has the free gift of eternal life.  He gave us His name, Jesus, to call upon for the forgiveness of our sins.

Psalm 103: 3: “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases”.

Revelation 4: 10 – 11:  “The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:  for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

Let us worship the Lord Jesus that liveth for ever and ever and who has created all things.
