Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, May 16, 2021

Introduction:  Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, May 16, 2021

This sermon talks about the fact that all of your activities on this earth, and when you will be doing them, have already taken place as far as the Lord is concerned.  Psalm 90: 4:  “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.”

Isaiah 46: 10 states:  “My counsel shall stand”.  It is the counsel of the eternal God that stands throughout the universe.

The choice of the Lord’s will for the life of someone who has come into salvation will last into eternity.

Ephesians 2: 7:  “That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”  It means throughout eternity, the Almighty God will still be talking about His great kindness towards us by Him coming personally to die for our sins as the Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 1: 18 shows that the Lord God is still talking in heaven about His death for our salvation.   It states:  “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, May 16, 2021

We listened to a sermon titled “Infinite Faith”, CD # 2007, preached by Brother Neal Frisby on 2/12/84 (PM).

In the sermon, Brother Frisby said:

Joshua used his faith when he said “Sun, stand thou still” (Joshua 10: 12).

Your faith will lead to eternal faith when we are translated to heaven.

Matthew 7: 8:  “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

John 14: 14:  “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”

Mark 16: 17: “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues”.

Infinite faith is born in a child of God.

Mark 9: 23:  “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

Matthew 17: 20:  “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief:  for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

Matthew 8: 8:  “The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am  not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.”

Each person has a measure of faith, with infinite possibilities.

Infinite possibilities will lead to translation when we will take on eternity.

A powerful and great outpouring will come at this end of time in various countries.  There will be compassion and healing power greater than at any other time in the history of mankind.

The Lord’s dimension of faith will lead you to see the glory of God.

We have power “over all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10: 19) and that includes power over anxiety.

Matthew 18: 18:  “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:  and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 8: 3:  “And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will:  be thou clean.  And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”

Luke 13: 13:  “And he laid his hands on her:  and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.”

Mark 5: 34:  “thy faith hath made thee whole”.

Matthew 8: 13:  “And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.  And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.”

Matthew 9: 2:  “And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed:  and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer;  thy sins be forgiven thee.”

Look at the promises of God, as it is between you and the Lord, and do not look at your circumstances.

Psalm 103: 3: “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases”.

Brother Frisby then had a prayer and testimony line.  One of the people in the line was a mother who brought her child because his legs were turned in.  After a short prayer by Brother Frisby, the Lord healed the child’s legs and they were straightened out.

I started the sermon:

If someone were to record all of the activities that you did yesterday – for example, what time you woke up, when you ate, what kinds of food you ate, what time you left for work or left your residence, what time you watched the news or talked on the phone, what types of clothes you wore and what kinds of cars you saw on the road, we will have an exact record of what you did yesterday and when you did them.

The Lord can take you back a month ago and show you in advance these same activities and when you did them.  You cannot now change them because these were activities you already did yesterday.

Psalm 90: 4:  “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.”

The Lord is saying He has already been into the next thousand years and that they are already in the past to him – just like yesterday is in the past to us.  This Scripture could have easily stated that the next million years or the next trillion years or more are already in the past to the Lord because He is infinite and there is no time element with Him.

None of us is a thousand years old.  It means the Lord could have told you on the day you were born everything you will be doing and when you will be doing them each day for the rest of your life on this earth.

All of your activities on this earth, and when you will be doing them, have already taken place as far as the Lord is concerned.

To a child of God, every second in your future is every second that the Lord has already taken care of as it is already past to Him.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1:  “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”.

Indeed, to everything there is a season and a time that is already set for it to be done.

Isaiah 57: 15: “For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy”.

The Lord lives in the realm of eternity where there is no time element.  Everything in the future in the entire universe is already past to him.

Psalm 135: 6:  “Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.”

The Lord does whatsoever He wants throughout the entire universe.

Matthew 10: 29 – 30:  “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing?  and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”

This Scripture shows that nothing will happen to a bird without the pre-approval of the Almighty God; nothing happens anywhere without His pre-approval.  “Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.”

“But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”  If the Lord can number the very hairs of your head, it means there is nothing about you that He does not already know.

Isaiah 46: 9-10:  “Remember the former things of old:  for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”.

The Lord is able to declare “the end from the beginning”.  He is able to declare “from ancient times the things that are not yet done”.  The Lord God can declare all of these things because he has already been into the future.  Everything in the future is already in the past to Him.

This Scripture further states:  “My counsel shall stand”.  It is the counsel of the eternal God that stands, and not the counsel of any human being, any Angel, the devil or any creature you may find anywhere in the universe.

I read from Special Writing # 036 written by Brother Neal Frisby – “THE WILL OF GOD IN ONE’S LIFE”

My letter of encouragement this time concerns the will of God in one’s life!  Yes, the Lord knows you even more personally than you know yourself!  In His infinite love and wisdom He has a plan for you and every person born in this world!  It is a definite plan; and He is nudging you into your place!  He foresees all who are to be born; He sees the coming of each one!

The choice of His will for your life will last into eternity!

Psalm 33: 11:  “The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.”

In the Lord’s infinite love and wisdom, He already has a plan for you and for every person born in this world!

The plan that the Lord has for each person is based on His infinite love and wisdom because He has paid the price of salvation for every person; He tasted death for each one of us.  Ephesians 1: 7 states: “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace”.

This Special Writing also states:  “The choice of His will for your life will last into eternity!”  The Lord’s plan for the life of someone who has received redemption through the blood of the Lord Jesus will last not only during that person’s time on this earth, but for eternity.  You will be grateful to the Lord Jesus, the Almighty God, for eternity.

Ephesians 3: 11:  “According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord”.  The Lord has an eternal purpose for each one of us that has come into salvation.  Again, His will for your life will last into eternity.

Ephesians 1: 10 – 11:  “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will”.  This Scripture again brings out the fact that it is the Lord’s counsel, the Lord’s will, that will be done throughout eternity.  He “worketh all things after the counsel of his own will”.

“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance”.   We have more to be thankful to the Lord Jesus for than we will ever know.

How should we go about our lives while we are still on this earth?

Galatians 2: 20:  “I am crucified with Christ:  nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:  and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Having now come into salvation, the Lord Jesus lives in you and it is by His faith that you live everyday:  “and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Colossians 3: 2 – 4:  “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

Set your thoughts on things of heaven.  Your life right now is hidden in the eternal God.  You have the assurance that when the Lord appears at the time of rapture, you shall “also appear with him in glory.”

What can we expect the Lord to show throughout eternity?

Ephesians 2: 7 – 8:  “That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”.

This Scripture states:  “in the ages to come”, the Lord will be showing “the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus”.  It means throughout eternity, the Almighty God will still be talking about His great kindness towards us by Him coming personally to die for our sins as the Lord Jesus Christ.  This is “the gift of God” to us.

Revelation 1: 18 shows that the Lord God is still talking in heaven about His death for our salvation.   It states:  “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

In Revelation 1: 8, the Lord Jesus describes Himself:  “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending”.  In Revelation 1: 11, He again describes Himself:  “I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last”.

Oh, what an appreciation we will have for the Almighty God, the Lord Jesus Christ, throughout eternity for giving us salvation.  Amen.
