Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, March 12, 2023

Introduction:  Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, March 12, 2023

Romans 8: 28:  “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Notice that this Scripture states:  “all things work together for good to them that love God”, and not, “all things work for good to them that love God”.  The difference is the word “together”.

For all things to work “together” for your good means all things must be coordinated.

The Lord is the coordinator of all things in your life.

For the Lord to ensure that all things in your life are coordinated, He must know in advance the events that are still ahead of you.

Psalm 90: 4:  “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.”

This Scripture tells us that all events coming up in your future have already taken place, as far as the Lord is concerned.  They “are but as yesterday when it is past”.

Isaiah 46: 9 – 10:  “Remember the former things of old:  for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”.

The Lord decides when everything in your life will take place so that they will all be coordinated for your good, to them that love the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1:  “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”.

The Lord has a goal for coordinating the events in your life, for those who love Him.

Ephesians 1: 11:  “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will”.

We have obtained an inheritance from the Lord through salvation, genuine repentance in the heart.  He has predestinated us unto eternal glory according to His divine purpose, for He “worketh all things after the counsel of his own will”.

You will be blessed.

Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, March 12, 2023

We listened to a sermon titled “Working For Good”, CD # 960, preached by Brother Neal Frisby.

In the sermon, Brother Frisby said:

You can turn all the disappointments, all the mistakes, all the troubles, even your deaths and your trials and your tests, you can turn all of these into a blessing from God.  Even your doubts can be turned into powerful faith.

All of these things can work for you by the power of the Lord.  The key word is trust.  It’s God’s way of getting glory.  He moves in strange ways and mysterious ways.

Sometimes, you’ll lose a friend, somebody may get mad at you or you may have somebody turn on you or say something they shouldn’t say.  They are actually working for you.  Hold to the word.  Watch and see.  It will work for you.

If you love God with your heart, then you will be tried.

And you may have lost a friend or something like that.  He will give you a better one.  That’s His plan.  Because the person, have they stayed around you, might have pulled you down completely away.  He knows where the elect are.  And by divine providence, He’ll work you right in the way that you are supposed to walk.

I believe that the elect are conceived upon the earth, but I don’t believe yet that they are all born in the kingdom of God as far as the translation.  They are conceived.  What are they waiting for now?  The completeness.

Some of us, and some of you, and the elect of God, are already converted into the kingdom of God; we are.  But the others are conceived, but they are not here yet.  They are in the highways and hedges.  But, they are the real seed of God.  They are conceived, but they haven’t taken on salvation yet.  They are here upon the earth.

God is ready to call what He has conceived by His word.  And when He does, they are converted into the power and the growth of the word.

They are in the highway and hedges, here and there and everywhere.  Only God knows where they are at and He can go get them and He will at the proper time while He matures and manifests Himself to the elect of God, bringing those that will come in the last hour.  He will do this.

When you lose a friend, He will give you another one.

Every event in your life, if you will allow and stand with the power of God in His word, it may be short term or long term faith, trust is generally short or long term, it’s what trust means.  Faith is just powerful faith that’s working all the time, but trust, no matter what, short or long term, you hold onto God.  You’ll find out that the Lord will work all things out, that are supposed to be for your life.

Romans 8: 28:  “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

We know that all things, now that says all things, your good things that come into your life will work for the benefit of God.  Your trials and tests, the bad things that come in your life, they will work for the good things and blessings of God.

Some people, when they suffer a little bit, or they’re persecuted some, or the going gets a little heavy, it’s hard for them to see that Scripture and then they begin to fail some.

But the Bible said all things work together for good.  That means when you are stumped by something and you cannot figure it out and it seems to have you at bay and it also means when the blessings of God are in your life.  All things work for good of them that love God.

That is why you owe your enemies much, according to what I was receiving from the Lord.  They may be doing you a favor, but if you are the elect of God, whatever happens, they are working for you.  The events are working for you.

Everything in your life, has been mysterious if you are the elect of God.  Strange and mysterious ways will you be tried.  But all of these events, saith the Lord, have worked for you, rather than against you.  Can you not see the hand of the Lord?

People, they only see God when they see a blessing.  But they can’t see God when someone is confronted with something.

So we find out, all of your troubles that you’ve had, your trials, your tests, even your losses, can work into a gain.  Do you realize that?

It takes a key word of trust.  All things work together for the good of them, that’s the good of them, that love God, predestinated.

Romans 8: 31:  “What shall we then say to these things?  If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Romans 8: 33:  “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect?  It is God that justifieth.”

Romans 8: 37 – 39:  “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

By nudging, by the test, by the trials, but remember this, all of these things, you may not understand in your life, each one of you today, take courage.

If you trust in the Lord, with all of your heart, the key word, trust, with faith, He’ll pull it right on through and it will work for the good.  Amen.

Sometimes, those that have backslid, you can turn that right into a blessing and come on back to God.  He will call you on back.  If you open your heart, bring you on back to Him.

Your stumbles, your mistakes, no matter what it is.  You may have let somebody down or somebody let you down, it makes no difference.

Your enemies and all of those that you have, might be working, and will be working, for you.

All of that working seemly against God and God’s body, will bring it to bloom.  It will bloom right to what God wants it at, a beautiful flower, and it will come forth.

In all of your life, when things are going against you, look at it the same way when things are going with you.  But it will turn right back around.

All of these events in your life, no matter what they are, if you hold to your trust, and believe the Lord in your heart, they’ll all come out all right.

Each one of you, no matter what’s been working against you, hold to the trust of this Scripture, that we have in the Bible here.

God’s will is different than our will.

So we find out, sometimes, the hardships, the trials, the things that happen in your life, the loss of friends, your enemies and so forth, all of those will be working for you if you can understand and get the key and unlock this Scripture.  Amen.

You can turn whatever your problems, whatever your trouble is, into the greatest blessing in the world.

There is one more key word, and that key word is divine love.  Amen.

By divine love, you’ll understand this Scripture even more than your trust practically and it will really work for you.

Love your enemies, we’re getting close to perfect love.

The most important commandment, to love God with all of your heart (Mark 12: 30).

Loving Christ more than all else.

Love for the neighbor as oneself (Mark 12: 31).

Love your enemies (Matthew 5: 43 – 44).  Now love your enemies, we are getting close to perfect love.

When you love your enemies, Jesus gave us the greatest example (Luke 23: 34).

This goes into more perfect love.  When you can love them which love you not, that is perfect love.

So, your enemies actually working for you.  Amen.

Love your enemies and if you can love those that don’t love you, that is perfect love.  That doesn’t mean, when you love your enemies and those that don’t love you and you still love them, that doesn’t mean that you have to agree with them, the Lord said.  You don’t have to agree with what they are doing because you are not going into sin with them.  And you don’t have to believe in how they are believing.  But, it says you can still love them and go on about your business.  Don’t let it take your salvation.

In your life, each one of you individually can look back over since you were a little child, growing up, at some of the events, mysteriously.  How that your life has been guided.  That some severe trial or something in your life and a good blessing too, all of it was working together for the good of them that love God.

We know this will have to be the case to the very elect body of Christ.  It cannot and will not come in any other manner.

You can turn all your troubles and problems into the greatest blessings you have ever seen and even God sends some of these tests and trials.  He wants to see who loves Him.  Then you know who really got faith.

Remember, the key word is trust.  Divine love will allow you to understand the Scripture all things work to the good of them that love God.

Satan will not get one of them, saith the Lord, that I take away and I will take them away.

I started the sermon:

Romans 8: 28:  “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Notice that this Scripture states:  “all things work together for good to them that love God”, and not, “all things work for good to them that love God”.  The difference is the word “together”.

For all things to work “together” for your good means all things must be coordinated.

The Lord is the coordinator of all things in your life.

We can look at Joseph as an example and see how God coordinated the events in his life that they all worked together for his good.  The entire human race was saved because of the severe famine that the Lord sent during his time.

Joseph told his brothers about the dreams that he had and that they would bow to him.  They conspired to kill him, but decided to sell him to merchantmen who were going to Egypt.  Joseph went from being hated by his brothers, sold into Egypt, lied against by the wife of Potiphar and thrown into prison.  It so happened that Pharaoh was angry with his chief butler and chief baker and had them thrown into the same prison where Joseph was.  The chief butler and chief baker had separate dreams the same night.  Joseph interpreted their dreams.  The chief butler was freed and the chief baker was killed by Pharaoh as Joseph had interpreted their dreams to them.

Joseph told the chief butler in Genesis 40: 14 – 15:  “But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:  For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews:  and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.”

Two full years passed and Pharaoh had two dreams.  None of the wise men in Egypt could interpret his dreams.  The chief butler remembered Joseph and mentioned him to Pharaoh that he could interpret his dreams.  Pharaoh sent for him.  He interpreted his dreams, telling Pharaoh that God had determined there would be seven years of plenty in the land, followed by seven years of famine.

Pharaoh could not have had his dreams earlier, and the chief butler could not have mentioned Joseph earlier to Pharaoh, because the Lord had timed when the seven years of plenty and the seven years of famine would start.

Eventually, his brothers came to Egypt to buy food from him because the famine was also severe where they lived.  His brothers had to bow to him as he was now made the ruler of Egypt by Pharaoh.

Joseph told his brothers in Genesis 50: 20:  “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”

The Lord can tell you now all events that are coming up in your future because He can declare the end from the beginning.  He can declare from ancient times the things that are not yet done.  This Scripture also states it is His counsel, His decision, that will take place in each of these events.

The Lord decides when everything in your life will take place so that they will all be coordinated for your good, to them that love the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1:  “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”.

I read from Special Writing # 036 – “THE WILL OF GOD IN ONE’S LIFE”

My letter of encouragement this time concerns the will of God in one’s life!  Yes, the Lord knows you even more personally than you know yourself!  In His infinite love and wisdom He has a plan for you and every person born in this world!  It is a definite plan; and He is nudging you into your place!  He foresees all who are to be born; He sees the coming of each one!

I continued with the sermon:

In God’s infinite love and wisdom, He has a plan for you from eternity.
