Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, January 8, 2023

Introduction:  Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, January 8, 2023

In John 14: 2 – 3, we are told there are many mansions waiting for us in heaven. Jesus was the one talking here, and yet, He is the Father; He is the mighty God (Isaiah 9: 6).  He is also the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1: 20 – 25).

These mansions are the glory of God built within Him.  They are the presence of Jesus; those things are just spiritual.  Amen, that you live in.  God is so great, made out of the things that are from heaven, the things that are of God.

It means our mansions in heaven are not physical structures.  Rather, they are the glory of God built within Him.  They are the presence of Jesus.

In heaven, we will be living within our eternal God, our Lord Jesus Christ, for eternity.  We will be living within His glory.

While we are on earth, our very life is already living inside God.

Colossians 3: 3:  “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”

Colossians 3: 4:  “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

Consequently, we are not going to miss the translation because we are already living within Him and we will continue to live within Him in heaven for eternity.

Also, before we came to this earth, our very life, a point of light, came from God.

God’s children, you see yourself as flesh and blood, with curious and anxious eyes and ears to know and to see all that you can, but you are points of light in flesh here on probation.

Our flesh will change back into that point of light, whether you die in that grave or resurrected, there is a change coming.  And that flesh will change back to that point of light, but it’s enhanced, it’s glorified.

A point of light sent by God.

By believing the Bible, you believe all of the word of God, is the gate to paradise.  And that Bible is the Lord Jesus and His name going through that gate.  It gives the name to God.

The Lord is going to preserve you.  In other words, keep you and hold you and you are going to be preserved into heaven, in eternal life.

2 Peter 1: 11:  “For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

He puts you on the earth first to worship Him and you praise Him and you thank Him and you believe in Him and that makes Him rejoice.

You will be blessed.

Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, January 8, 2023

We listened to a sermon titled “Stones And Gates”, CD # 1247, preached by Brother Neal Frisby.

In the sermon, Brother Frisby said:

1 Peter 1: 16:  “Because it is written, BE YE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.”  Because if you don’t have the power of the Holy Spirit to help you, you’re never going to do it.

Holiness is a keystone of Christian living.

Hebrews 12: 1:  “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us”.

The entire sanctification is the cornerstone of the Christian experience.

1 Thessalonians 5: 23:  “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

That shows you that man has 3 in 1.  You have the soul, the body and the spirit.  If the body dies out, the soul will leave, but he must stay associated to the spirit.

The soul is the one that lays in that little spirit that God gave in there, stay with that spirit.

Perfect love, you cannot escape that.  Perfect love is the touchstone of Christian living.

The touchstone is allied to flint.  It is so called because it is used to test the purity of gold and silver.  The character of gold and the silver on spiritual things.  But perfect love tests that.  It’s a flint stone; it’s a touch stone.  It will test the gold character; it will test that silver lining.

It’s allied to flint because it’s going to test the purity of the church and gold and silver.  He is divine; He is the one over that.  It said buy of me gold in the Bible, purified, burnt in the fire, tested by love.

The consecration, complete, is the foundation stone of the Christian living.  You believe and you trust in that word.

The great headstone, you must have Christ.

2 Peter 1: 4:  “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:  that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

You are part of His divine nature.  If you are part of His divine nature, then you don’t need to be sick.  Amen.  You have His faith.  Amen.  You have power over miracles and over the elements, part of His love and He was moved with compassion.  The power of the Spirit, the power and the soundness of mind.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit in the word is the capstone of the Christian service.  Acts 1: 8:  “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

By believing the Bible, you believe all of the word of God, is the gate to paradise.  And that Bible is the Lord Jesus and His name going through that gate.  It gives the name to God.

There are many different types of gates described in the Scriptures.

Psalm 118: 19:  “Open to me the gates of righteousness:  I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD”.  It is a request, followed by commitment.

Psalm 23: 4:  “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:  for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

There is a gate of salvation by faith and the word.  There’s only one way to get into that gate of salvation and that’s by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 107: 16:  “For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.”  He will burst them wide open for you.  That’s your troubles, the problems, the demon powers, all of the sickness, all the things that come against you.

The gates of salvation swing on the hinges of love and the blood atonement mingled with the word, and you trust Him daily.

Psalm 23: 6:  “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:  and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”  And then God said how can you turn out a man like that; he is coming here anyway.

The gate of holy living by faith.  The eyes of the Spirit say this:  Enter ye in the strait gate.

Matthew 7: 13:  “Enter ye in at the strait gate:  for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat”.

Luke 13: 24:  “Strive to enter in at the strait gate:  for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”

That is the only gate that you are going to get in the translation.

It’s believing that word of God.  If you don’t  have the faith, it’s impossible to please God.  You say all of this is hard, No.  The Holy Spirit has to help you do all of this.

Job 28: 7 – 8:  “There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye hath not seen:  The lion’s whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.”

Job 28: 16 – 18:  “It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.  The gold and the crystal cannot equal it:  and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.  No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls:  for the price of wisdom is above rubies.”

Job 28: 23:  “God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.”

The gate of worship:  love the Lord thy God with all of thy heart, with all of thy soul and with all of thy mind and body (Matthew 22: 37).

Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jehovah, God (Psalm 122: 2).

The Lord sitteth between the cherubims, let the people be moved.  His wheels are spinning fire and He is looking over in there; the eternal One sitting right there (Psalm 99: 1).

The gate of day is today is the day of salvation.  He is the day star, the day spring, so rejoice in salvation.  Psalm 118: 24:  “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

The gate of time:  Now, time has three dimensions – the past, the present, the future, and one more great dimension – eternity.

When you leave those three dimensions, you are in eternity.  You’ve passed from this life into another one.  The gate of time has three dimensions, and then you go into eternity.

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5: 16).

There’s gates in this universe, from galaxy to galaxy, from great quasars, clouds, and all these things that’s in the universe.  There are gates and those gates have forces and different gravitational pulls.

The gate of opportunity:  This gate is for us today and only comes around once in your lifetime, to witness and to save souls.  This is harvest time.  Today is the day of salvation.  This is our opportunity, this is our time, to let the light shine.  Your life is but a vapour (James 4: 14).

You will have a time to talk to somebody.  You will have a time to be converted.  You will have a time to do something for the Lord.  But after this gate of opportunity closes, and the Antichrist rises, it’s limited.  And there, even after that, grace departs after the two witnesses and it shuts down and He interrupts time, you will not have another opportunity then.

Those that are translated will not have an opportunity to witness to those that are coming through this time zone, this time and this generation.

So, the gate of opportunity is wide open and you should love to hear somebody tell you that it is open for you to yet do something for the Lord.

He puts you on the earth first to worship Him and you praise Him and you thank Him and you believe in Him and that makes Him rejoice.

Your opportunity of a lifetime:  You have friends, you have relatives.  And it’s over, “Oh, If I were only told that person about Jesus.  I had the opportunity and the gates are closed.”  The person passed on or the person moved that you will never see again.

Hebrews 9: 27:  “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”.

Only what’s done for Christ will last.  No matter what else you have done, no matter what else that is done in this world, no matter what they have built in this world, no matter how great and how powerful and how rich he is in this world, it won’t amount to anything.  Only what’s done for Jesus is the thing that is eternal.

Mark 13: 35 – 36:  “Watch ye therefore:  for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:  Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.”

The gate of death:  Now, at the gate of death, you either go to heaven or you go to hell.  Jesus said I have bursted those gates of hell wide open.  I went down there.  Amen.  I am alive for evermore after the resurrection (Revelation 1: 18).

Isaiah 38: 10:  “I shall go to the gates of the grave”.

Those that die, God has not forgot them anymore He knows me standing here right now.  They are talking to Him as it were right now.  He knows them and He will not forget them.

Job 19: 25 – 26:  “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:  And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God”.

Job 13: 15:  “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him”.

Your opportunity is to witness to people.  “Why am I born?”  It is to praise the Lord and win another soul.  You are born in this world to help the Lord.  He don’t need any of your help, but He wants to allow you that point so that He can give you something, so that He can reward you for what you’ve done.  He can do it all Himself if He wants to, but that’s what kind of God we’ve got.  He don’t need any help, yet He’ll be humble and say “Help me”.

The gates of Heaven:  Revelation 21: 21:  “And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was one of pearl:  and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.”

Divine love is what open those gates, saith the Lord.

The beautiful city of paradise where time stands still.  There, in the Holy City, finally, after the millennium, where time blends into eternity.  You are in paradise where time stands still and you move on in where there is no more time in a beautiful city.  And He has mansions and those mansions are the glory of God built within Him.  They are the presence of Jesus; those things are just spiritual.  Amen, that you live in.  God is so great, made out of the things that are from heaven, the things that are of God.

I started the sermon:

John 14: 2 – 3:  “In my Father’s house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

Jesus was the one talking here, and yet, He is the Father; He is the mighty God (Isaiah 9: 6).  He is also the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1: 20 – 25).

In the sermon titled “God’s Greatness”, CD # 1241, Brother Neal Frisby stated:

God’s children, you see yourself as flesh and blood, with curious and anxious eyes and ears to know and to see all that you can, but you are points of light in flesh here on probation.

Our flesh will change back into that point of light, whether you die in that grave or resurrected, there is a change coming.  And that flesh will change back to that point of light, but it’s enhanced, it’s glorified.

We come as points of lights.  We’ve got a body.  This old house, Paul said this old shell.  To be absent from it is to be present again with the Lord.

A point of light sent by God.

I read from Scroll # 232:

FOREKNOWLEDGE – Way back in the eons of time we don’t have words to describe how long ago in eternity it was!  But the Lord of Hosts always foreknew us.  And at the proper moment.  Like a great cocoon spawning out of God’s mind and in the mist of His presence all of us were foreknown and came at His appointed time since Adam.  Many Scriptures reveal this.  One of them is Eph. chap. 1 – And here is another one Job 38: 6-7, His chosen was with Him when He laid the foundations of earth’s corner stone.  When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

I continued with the sermon:

By believing the Bible, you believe all of the word of God, is the gate to paradise.  And that Bible is the Lord Jesus and His name going through that gate.  It gives the name to God.

Furthermore in the sermon titled “God’s Greatness”, CD # 1241, Brother Neal Frisby stated:

You can’t search out His greatness.  How can He bring in a beam of light here in flesh and take you back in a beam of light and put you up in front of Him and say you will live on and on; there is no time limit and He’s already purposed it.  Hold to your faith, saith the Lord.

Psalm 145: 20:  “The LORD preserveth all them that love him:  but all the wicked will he destroy.”

Preserve is, that light, you are going back to Him.  All them that love Him, He is going to preserve.  He is going to keep.  There is no way that they can perish.  Perish means to waste away and they shall not perish, He says, but He is going to preserve you.  In other words, keep you and hold you and you are going to be preserved into heaven, in eternal life.  But He said to all them that love Him, not love the world, not love all these other things, but love Him.  He is first in your heart.

2 Peter 1: 11:  “For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

So, the gate of opportunity is wide open and you should love to hear somebody tell you that it is open for you to yet do something for the Lord.

Your opportunity of a lifetime:  You have friends, you have relatives.  And it’s over, “Oh, If I were only told that person about Jesus.  I had the opportunity and the gates are closed.”  The person passed on or the person moved that you will never see again.

Only what’s done for Christ will last.  No matter what else you have done, no matter what else that is done in this world, no matter what they have built in this world, no matter how great and how powerful and how rich he is in this world, it won’t amount to anything.  Only what’s done for Jesus is the thing that is eternal.

He puts you on the earth first to worship Him and you praise Him and you thank Him and you believe in Him and that makes Him rejoice.
