Introduction

The first recorded prayer is found in Genesis 15: 2, and with it, it teaches us the seven elements. There are seven elements of prayer and faith. The Lord showed us what to do, and how that we could defeat Satan all the way through.

“In the law of first mention (prayer) – 7 vital elements of prayer were practiced by Abraham. – First, “The Promise!” (Gen. 15:1) – (2) “The Petition.” (Verse 2) – (3) “Faith” (Verse 6) – (4) “Opposition of Satan!” (Verses 11, 12) – (5) “Delay in Answer” (Verse 13). “So we see there is a delay in some answers and when people become impatient they miss the blessing that would have been theirs!” – (6) “Miraculous Intervention” (Verse 17) – (7th) “Fulfillment” (Verse 18). “True to the promise and because of Abraham’s faith Israel entered the Promised Land 400 years later! Although there was a delay, unwavering faith did it!” – “So we see, the Bible reveals 7 precious elements of prayer for our benefit! And He that uses it will be wise!”

God gave seven elements on purpose and each one of those was a guidance from Genesis to Revelations about not only believing God, about the instant, and the delays, about the powers that would oppose you, how they would fight against you, and yet, how God would be there with that light.

All of the promises of the Bible are given, within us, like a tiny seed. Now, within you, there’s something within each one of you, each one, you have that measure of faith. There is a substance there, and it’s a substance. Each one of us has a tiny seed. Now, all the promises of God are within you. You have that tiny seed of faith in there.

It means all the promises of God in the entire Bible are already within you.

Miracles are within you, to bring out, by prayer, and praise, and constant evidence, which means constant acceptance, within a constant confidence within.

So, you’re created, born within you, from the destiny of time, before you ever knew this place, that God would send through a seed down here, within you, is enough of power to put ten thousand times ten thousand devils to flight.

The power of God, the word of God, that is within you, looks towards the Lord Jesus because He is the eternal God, and that is the only way that power, those miracles that are already within you, can manifest.

And Jesus dropped back, and what was within Him began to churn at 30 years old. It began to move a light, and powerful within Him, and it was moving like a dynamo. His calling was there. God is a Holy Spirit, leading, guiding, at the very exact photo moment that He would go, the micro minute, second, or whatever you want to call it. He left, and He went in there, and we find out, by holding that acceptance within Him, by prayer, and by praise, He stayed right alone with the Lord, and He waited right in there. I say His Holy Spirit, He stayed right with that Holy Spirit while that flesh was there, and we find out that whatever was in Him was ready to come out, it was within Him, born in there.

The Lord Jesus was born in the flesh, and in that form, He prayed to the Father (John 17: 1 – 2). Yet, Isaiah 9: 6 calls Him the Father. He was praying to Himself. Isaiah 9: 6 also calls Him the mighty God.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”Isaiah 9: 6

He was made a little lower than the Angels to taste death for every person. He calls us His brethren and partook of flesh and blood like us (Hebrews 2: 9 – 14).

That was why the Lord Jesus could tell the Jews that “Before Abraham was, I am” because they were talking to the Almighty God who was in the form of flesh (John 8: 56 – 58). He has been in existence from eternity.

John 17: 3 defines for us what eternal life is. “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

The only true God is connected to the Lord Jesus Christ. If you believe in your heart that the Almighty God came down in the form of flesh as the Lord Jesus, and died for your sins, you have eternal life.

We thank our Lord Jesus for giving us the opportunity to worship and to honor Him, “the only true God”, throughout eternity.

You will be blessed.

Summary of the Sermon

We listened to a sermon titled # 1177; “Real Prayer – Instructions”, CD # 1177, preached by Brother Neal Frisby.

In the sermon, Brother Frisby said:

Why did the Lord put prayer in the Bible all the way through if it wasn’t important? Prayer is very important, and so is praise. And some people don’t know just how important.

I believe that Jesus’ prayers, like it says, I think it’s Revelation chapter five and probably eight or nine somewhere in there. It says that the prayers of the saints are in vials. Those that have faith and those that have power. And I believe that Jesus’ prayers for us was put away in vials. I believe there’s a substance there that no one has ever seen.

He keeps a record. And it says in there, the prayers, they have value. Jesus’ prayer was that His church, His body, the living body, the elect of God, would become one in the spirit. That was His prayer. Did you know that prayer is going to be answered? And that’s put away. That’s future, futuristic. And we’re moving into that right now. We’re coming into the prayer of Jesus.

Hebrews 11: 1 reveals faith is the evidence of things not seen. Absolutely. Now some people said show it to me first, Lord, let me see it. That’s not faith. See it’s already passed. In other words, evidence of things not seen. In your heart, it is a reality, but you know you don’t see it yet, but it is a reality in your heart. You have it, no matter what.

Verse 6 says, without faith, it is impossible to please Him. But those who diligently, carefully in other words, carefully seek him, are rewarded. And at that moment, they don’t have their mind on anybody, but the Lord.

The first recorded prayer is found in Genesis 15: 2, and with it, it teaches us the seven elements. There are seven elements of prayer and faith. The Lord showed us what to do, and how that we could defeat Satan all the way through.

First, God’s promise: Fear not. There, you’ve got it with you. Don’t turn back. See, no matter how many failures you have, saith the Lord, no matter what has not happened or happened, fear not. Fear not, Abraham. He called him by his name. He knows all of you. He said I call my sheep by name. Now fear not, Abraham, I am thy shield. See, there’s a protector. Protector is a shield. And I am thy exceeding great reward. Don’t look to the left, to the right, or anywhere. I am thy reward. That ends that right there. See let that be known in your heart that it all comes from the Lord Jesus. You pray to Him. And the Lord God is your great shield and exceeding reward, verse one. It reveals faith is anchored to the word and the promise of the Lord. You’ve got to anchor that there.

Second, the request: That Abraham said, what will Thou give me, seeing that I am childless? Now, He knew, when He appeared to him, what was on his heart. He appeared at the time that that was on Abraham’s heart. What will Thou give me? See, I go childless. What are you going to do, Lord?

God’s answer is definite. He’s definite that Abraham’s seed shall be as the stars in the multitude.

Third, faith, even though a miracle would be required, Abraham believed even before he’d seen, he anchored that with God’s promise. No matter what Sarah said, no matter what came of Hagar, no matter what it was, he anchored there, and left it there. He left that there with God.

What is the church at the end of the age in this prayer, and all of the praise, and the seeking of the Lord. There is to be, according to the thunders, and according to God’s power, an anointing that will be released that the world has never seen, unless it was seen at the time that Jesus flashed it, transfiguration to the disciples, and also in Israel, when He appeared as the Messiah. And even He said greater works than these are coming on down the line.

Now, the elect, those that have salvation, those that believe in the power, and the faith, and all of the Word of God in their heart, they’re on the earth right now. He’s bringing them in position. Now, this anointing that comes will tie in with the translation, but listen to this real close. It will be a type of anointing; the elect are like a rough diamond. Now you find a diamond, it don’t sparkle like it does when you see it in a jewelry shop. It don’t sparkle like on one’s hands of a married person that has a ring or something like that, that she’s been given for marriage, so forth, that it sparkles. It’s all symbolism of God coming for His children in the marriage supper, and you’re a diamond in the rough, and so you’re cut as a diamond, you’re out of the ground, but you’re still rough.

Now the strong anointing is coming, and those that are of the Lord’s are like a diamond, you watch and see. Now that anointing is so powerful, like a real jeweler, the Lord is going to cut those corners. He’s going to cut in those lines just right, and you cut that in seven different ways or corners in there, and that light breaks through, and when the light breaks through, that is a diamond then, not when it’s first found. And with this strong anointing, that’s why it’s so powerful, it is going to cut those edges, cut those corners, and that elect is going to shine, and it’s not going to be hidden.

You’re going to be a diamond. He’s going to cut that diamond so that light can come out. It comes out in seven colors, it’s caught up, and there’s a rainbow before the throne, and One set.

He’s working on that diamond. He’s a great cutter, and when He cuts the corners right, she’s going to shine, and that’ll be right now in that second, powerful, latter rain, that’s coming. He’s going to cut those corners so that light can come out. In fact, He speaks of it in the Bible, He goes into the minerals, gold, different ways, to describe that body, and the durability of it, and so forth like that. So that’s why a strong anointing has to come. It has to come in such a way to cut that, and, also, we know the Bible said that it takes great heat of the Holy Spirit. We’re talking about great heat will come at the end, of the power of the Lord, and it says it takes that gold and melts that gold in there and forms it just like He wants. Try me, gold tried in the fire. It’s the same, matches, He matches it on that same mineral as He does with that diamond in there.

There’s that diamond, Jesus was cut out, and He was shining, and His elect people are going to be the same way.

Third, faith, even though a miracle will be required, Abraham believe. Likewise, all of the promises of the Bible are given, within us, like a tiny seed. Now within you, there’s something within each one of you, each one you have that measure of faith. There is a substance there, and it’s a substance. Each one of us has a tiny seed. It is up to us to manifest them even before we see them. We know that they are ours.

Now all the promises of God are within you. You have that tiny seed of faith in there, and whatever you need, you work towards that.

Miracles are within you, to bring out, by prayer, and praise, and constant evidence, which means constant acceptance, within a constant confidence within.

Now, fourth, most people you know, you’re praying on a miracle, a cancer will go, a tumor will go, a deaf ear unstopped, something will be created within or without. You’ll see miracles of the Lord, and a lot of them, never understanding that Satan is right out there to knock that down if he can. And every prayer that you pray, and every miracle, if Satan can’t stop you from getting the miracle, he’ll fall back when faith gets too strong, and get out of the way, you’ll receive. And then, he’ll come right back around in a little moment in there, and he’ll try to steal that miracle of healing. He’ll try to take it away from you.

One must be alert to the opposition of Satan. So what they don’t know, be alert to the opposition of Satan. He will resist real faith strongly, Genesis 15: 11 and 12. Sometimes, there is a battle before you receive, and after you receive, many times.

Jesus, as an example, He dropped back from civilization, got completely out of it. He went back in the wilderness so far He wouldn’t see nobody for 40 days and nights. And here He come, and He come out of the wilderness, and He was ten times million times a match for Lucifer which come right up there to oppose that. He was going to oppose everything that Jesus had coming out of Him, and it didn’t take Him long. He said, Satan, it’s written, fall down worship the Lord your God. He went from there when that word came out of there, he couldn’t stand that word, he turned, and he left there. Jesus was opposed, but yet, what was in Him had been accomplished, and that seeking of the Lord, even to the cross, and the resurrection, and coming again.

Let me explain prayer. Now when you go before the Lord, you don’t always just ask the Lord do something for you at that time. Now here’s prayer: Prayer, you are praying for others. You may have a plan in your life that you’re praying about for God to bless, or whatever you want Him to do. You’re praying about souls of this world, and you’re possibly praying about somebody’s healing, and you’re praying, and worshiping the Lord. That must be done daily. You worship the Lord. Then afterwards, there’ll be anointing from that prayer. As you prayed, there will be a churning, of a type of anointing. Then at the end of it, you ask the Lord something that you would want, and you leave that with the Lord.

And after Jesus prayed, done all of that, He would just speak, and the blind was healed, and the deaf would hear, and so forth like that. Still yet, for an example, He would go out and pray for energy, and for power, and for the next day.

Whatever I was born, what happened, when I went and got ahold of the Lord and sought the Lord, and how what He wanted me to do, whatever you’ve seen, there come out of me. It was already in there, and the Lord Himself told me what’s within you I’m going to bring out, and so I said, well it’s going to take a real God.

Individually, every one of you in that audience there, whatever God’s got within you, by this faith and power that God has given me, and by you praising the Lord, and this anointing, it will gradually just come on out.

These verses 11 and 12 symbolize the powers of darkness coming between Abraham and his promise. God gave him that promise. One must not waver, but have confidence, complete confidence.

There was a delay in the answer, verse 13, revealing sometimes it will not be instant, this teaches us patience.

In this darkness that came upon him, for God now was going to reveal, and it’s like a shadow at first, and it went into darkness.

Sixth, miraculous and startling intervention took place, the horror of great darkness around Abraham vanished. Verse 12, great darkness, he first started out, and it went deeper, and darker, into the dream, in the nightmare nearly, the birds coming down to take away his promise, the fowls to devour it, symbolic of satanic forces coming down there.

But something begin to take place, in that struggle that Abraham was going through. He showed him his life, but it showed Israel to a tee. It showed the struggle of Jacob, of Isaac. It showed the struggle.

And then the darkness, suddenly, it vanished when God’s burning lamp, the chariot of fire, that’s what it was, passed between the pieces, verse 17.

And no matter how your life has been, that light’s going to pass on through there for you.

He said it was like a fire, furnace, and it was. You ever see a furnace fly? Did you ever see it get up off the ground and go somewhere? Well, he saw like a furnace, a fire, and it was smoking lamp as it went through, it had light. What he meant, it looked like it was on fire, pillar of fire, it had smoke around it, and it was going right on through, and that’s the chariot of Israel, because the promise that He gave him, listen to this right here, and when that lamp came through between those pieces, verse 17, thus, God intervened, honoring the faith of Abraham.

Seventh, the fulfillment, when Abraham believed, the matter was finished. Although he was tested, the matter was finished. Verse 18, Unto thy seed have I given this land.

And we see seven elements of prayer that changed the course of history and for Israel; right here, the matter was finished. I’ve given the land. But the Bible said that He told him, and you can read it right in that chapter 15, 400 years, Abraham, and the seed will go into the promised land. They will suffer the horrors, but they will go in there. And when He finished talking to him, the lamp went through the camp and sealed it. 400 years later, just like God told him, 400 years later, that same lamp, that same chariot, led Israel, and Joshua, crossed over exactly 400 years later, went in the promised land.

Why, it was anchored in that prophet’s heart, could not be changed. Satan, there’s no which way in fashion he’d ever get that away from Abraham. He already fought for the children of Israel, he already believed for them, and everyone. Yet, they went through Jacob, and Isaac, and all of them, in Moses, went right on down through that struggle, right into Egypt, and all of them in Egypt, and how they went into slavery, and all that took place, and yet 400 years later, they walked into the promised land.

It shows you, and your struggle of life.

Those are the seven elements, those are the first mention in the Bible recorded of a prophet when he went to prayer. God gave seven elements on purpose and each one of those was a guidance from Genesis to Revelations about not only believing God, about the instant, and the delays, about the powers that would oppose you, how they would fight against you, and yet how God would be there with that light.

That prayer within you is power to manifest the miracles that you need.

All you have to do is to walk towards Him in a fashion, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently, in other words, businesslike, and mean it in their heart. He’ll do something for you, you’ll be rewarded for it in body, in soul, and materially, or whatever that you’re praying about. God will reward you with the best things.

Jesus, with all the light that He come out of Israel with, is so powerful, and while He was standing before Peter, James, and John, did you know what happened when He was standing there? What He did is show them what was on the inside of Him, behind that flesh, and when they look, His face was altered, and when His face was altered, like light come across it, it was like lightning, and cosmic figure, and they looked, and what was on the inside, it’s like you take coat off and turn it on the outside and there you are, and what was within Jesus came out, the inside came on the outside, and they looked Him, His face was altered, and He was a magnetic figure, it was flashing, like lightning in there, and He told them tell no man, and tell nothing about this figure that you see here or about my face, and it said it was altered and it changed, and the prophets were struck and dumbfounded, they didn’t know what to do, and then on top of that, two prophets, that had been gone for years, thousands, some of them 500, thousand years, or however long it was, appeared with Him, Moses, and Elijah, was standing right there with Him, and in that cloud, and all of that, and then what He did, He allowed it to turn right back around within Him, and then when they crucified Him in the grave, He said you destroy this body, in three days I’ll turn it loose, and three days, you destroy this temple, and I’ll raise it again. He said I will raise it again, and in three days’ time, that light flashed from within that seed, power within Him, and it just blowed everything all to pieces, and here come Him out of there as an angel of the Lord.

So, you’re created, born within you, from the destiny of time, before you ever knew this place, that God would send through a seed down here, within you, is enough of power to put ten thousand times ten thousand devils to flight. All you have to do is work that out that’s within you, and as you work with what’s within, and as you begin to pray for God to release that power within you, and in your prayers, you’ll build up anointing, and you’ll build up something in there that has substance, and when it is, you’ll tear Satan, and move him out.

Remember, you’re that piece of gold in Revelations tried by the fire. You’re also that diamond, the jewel that He talks about in the Bible, and as He cuts, it’s going to shine, and He’s going to carry it away.

Scripture Reading

The first recorded prayer is found in Genesis 15: 2, and with it, it teaches us the seven elements. There are seven elements of prayer and faith. The Lord showed us what to do, and how that we could defeat Satan all the way through.

“After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”Genesis 15: 1 – 6

“And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away. And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not their’s, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years”Genesis 15: 11 – 13

“And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates”Genesis 15: 17 – 18

I read from Special Writing # 9:

The Lord Jesus was born in the flesh, and in that form, He prayed to the Father.

“These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.”John 17: 1 – 2

He calls us His brethren and partook of flesh and blood like us.

“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I WILL DECLARE THY NAME UNTO MY BRETHREN, IN THE MIDST OF THE CHURCH WILL I SING PRAISE UNTO THEE. And again, I WILL PUT MY TRUST IN HIM. And again, BEHOLD I AND THE CHILDREN WHICH GOD HATH GIVEN ME. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.”Hebrews 2: 9 – 14

That was why the Lord Jesus could tell the Jews that “Before Abraham was, I am” because they were talking to the Almighty God who was in the form of flesh. He has been in existence from eternity.

“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”John 8: 56 – 58
