Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, October 17, 2021

Introduction:  Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, October 17, 2021

This sermon talks about the fact that “The real eternal spirit which God gives His saints had no beginning and has no end and is like unto God!”

That “is why it is called eternal life, it always was and always will be with God!”

It means the time that the Lord has allotted for you on this earth is part of that eternal life.  It does not increase or reduce the number of years of your eternal life.

It means each person that has died in the Lord or that will be alive when the Lord comes in the translation will not live longer than you.  Each of us in the Lord has the eternal life of God.  We will be alive as long as God is alive – which is for eternity.

Colossians 3: 3:  “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”  For your life to be hidden with God inside God means it is part of God.

Colossians 3: 4:  “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”  Christ is “our life”.  The Almighty God is our “eternal life.  That is why you will live in eternity with Him.  You have the certainty of being translated with Him, because when He “shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

You will be blessed.

Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, October 17, 2021

We listened to a sermon titled “The Infinite, Part I”, CD # 1029, preached by Brother Neal Frisby on 11/28/84 (PM).

In the sermon, Brother Frisby said:

According to the Scriptures, the older you get, the happier you should be, because you are getting closer to the Lord.

In the age that we now live, whether old or young, we should all be happy because His coming is soon.

2 Corinthians 5: 8:  “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

Philippians 2: 13:  “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”

Ephesians 5: 17:  “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”

The will of the Lord is for you to believe in divine healing, in the Lord’s miracles, in who Jesus truly is, in eternal life, in all of God’s word and to act upon it.

Philippians 1: 6:  “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”.

The Lord, the Infinite, will guide you, teach you and lead you.

All those who exalt Jesus as the Creator automatically have more faith and power.

Moses was directed by the Lord to the burning bush of revelation (Exodus 3: 1 – 6).

Elijah was directed to choose Elisha the Prophet (1 Kings 19: 16).

Naaman was directed to Elisha (2 Kings 5: 1 – 15).

Elijah was directed to the woman (1 Kings 17: 8 – 10).

John was directed to the island of Patmos (Revelation 1: 9).

Paul was directed to the road to Damascus where God, the blazing light, met him (Acts 9: 1 – 9).

Cornelius was directed to the outpouring of the Holy Ghost (Act 10: 1 – 48).

David was directed by the Lord to slay Goliath, the giant (1 Samuel 17: 40 – 50).

Abraham was directed to take his child to offer him for a sacrifice, but the Lord provided a ram (Genesis 22: 1 – 18).

Jacob was directed by the Lord to go to another place (Genesis 31: 3).

Jacob was directed to where the ladder came down.  He wrestled with God, the Lord Jesus, who was in the form of a man (Genesis 32: 24 – 30).

Judges 13: 18:  “And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest  thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?”  The Angel of the Lord stated his name is “secret”.  It means His name is “wonderful”.  Isaiah 9: 6 states God’s name, Jesus, is “Wonderful”.

Isaac was directed to the woman he was to marry (Genesis 24: 1 – 67).

The children of Israel were directed by the Lord, in the pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night, to go by day and night (Exodus 13: 21).

Believe all of the word of God and He will direct you; He will bless you and give you the faith that you need at the end of the age for translation.

Abide in His word and it will lead into great joy.

The Lord will guide you to the word of God.

Abide in the Lord; abide in His word.

Psalm 33: 13 -14:  “The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of me.  From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.”

The Lord is able to see everybody on this earth at the same time.  He can see the Angels and everything else in all of the Universe at the same time.  He is infinite.

He knows what you need; He is directing your ways.

Proverbs 5:  21:  “For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.”

The Lord is omnipresence.  He is everywhere at the same time.  When the Lord creates something, He is already there.

You want the Lord to keep directing you.

While we are on this earth, the Lord gives us a sample of eternal life to see whether we will believe His word.

I started the sermon.

Psalm 100: 3:  “Know ye that the LORD he is God:  it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves”.

The Lord God has made us; we did not make ourselves.

Ecclesiastes 12: 7:  “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:  and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”

Our body is referred to as “dust”.  At the time of death, your body returns to the earth as it was “and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”

He gave your spirit to you and it shall return unto Him at the time of death.

The Lord will put your spirit in hell if you did not come to salvation prior to death or He will put your spirit in the third heaven, in paradise, if you came to salvation prior to death.

2 Corinthians 5: 8:  “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

2 Timothy 4: 6 – 8:  “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day:  and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

Apostle Paul was stating that the time for his body, dust, to return to the earth was close by.  His “spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”  He had fought a good fight; he had finished his course; he had kept the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I read from Scroll # 23, Part II:  TIME AND ETERNITY –

If we have “Jesus” at death we will change out of this time zone and step into the eternal zone (life)  “At the rapture the body changes, our time stops and blends into eternity.”  (no time limit!)  People who go to hell will be there probably millions of years, yet they will not have eternal life like the saints will.  “For ever” is not the same as eternal!  I have a feeling something will happen.  There is more to the spiritual death they suffer in (Rev. 2: 11) than we have a right to know!  The fact death came to man is a prophetic picture of what God will do eventually unless he has (Jesus) eternal life!  Whatever happens to hell we know one thing it will seem like eternity to them (but it will not be the same as God’s eternity!) – Psalms 90: 4

I continued with the Sermon:

Acts 16: 31:  “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved”.  If you truly believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you shall be saved.

John 3: 15:  “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

Anyone who truly believes in the Lord Jesus will “not perish, but have eternal life.”  This is the requirement from the Lord Jesus, because if you are truly saved, your life will totally change.  The Lord will now lead your life.

John 11: 25 – 26:  “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:  he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.  Believeth thou this?”

The eternal God is stating “he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die”.  His requirement to live for eternity is “he that believeth in me”.  If you truly believe in the Lord Jesus, you shall be saved.

There is no person that has died since the time of Adam that is not living somewhere else.

Luke 16:  19 – 31:  “There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:  And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table:  moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.  And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom:  the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.  And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.  But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things:  but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.  And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed:  so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.  Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:  For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.  Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.  And he said, Nay, father Abraham:  but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.  And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”

There was a “certain” rich man and there was a “certain” beggar.

They both died, but they both lived on hereafter.  The “spirit shall return unto God who gave it”.

Both the beggar and the rich man were immediately alive somewhere else after their spirits had left their bodies.

God put the spirit of the rich man in hell because he did not come to salvation before he died.  The spirit of Lazarus was put in Abraham’s bosom, a form of paradise, because he came to repentance and it was counted unto him for righteousness.  Paradise has now been moved up – it is the third heaven.

In hell, the rich man lifted “up his eyes, being in torments”.  He stated he was “tormented in this flame”.  He could talk; he could see; he still had his memory – he remembered that he had five brethren that were still alive on earth.  He referred to his location as a “place of torment”.  He did not want his brethren to come there and join him.  He was pleading for their salvation.

I read from Scroll # 43:

THE ELECT SPIRITS WHICH WERE PART OF GOD, BEFORE THE ELECT BODY WAS CREATED – The real you (the spiritual part) was with God before it was appointed a body upon the earth through seed.  There is a fleshly seed and a spiritual seed which was united!  The real eternal spirit which God gives His saints had no beginning and has no end and is like unto God!  That is why after death our body is changed into the inner immortal spirit, that is why it is called eternal life, it always was and always will be with God!  And He breathed it into each of us (Gen. 2: 7)  “Behold saith the Lord do ye not know this Scripture?  Ye were with Me when the Morning Stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy!” (Job 38: 6,7).  Our flesh body came upon earth by birth uniting with His spirit which was always with Him!  And when we repent (salvation) we keep this spirit in order to always live with Him!!  Read (Isa. 1:9 – Eph. 1:4)  (Satan’s seed is a group, also the Lord has created a place for them.)

THE BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT – (When the spirit leaves the body, the soul and spirit become one)  The body carries the soul and the eternal spirit (Gift of deity) ignites the soul body with life, and it becomes a “living personality” of the spirit!  The body (flesh) often waring against “the spirit soul” which is the real you!  The elect body will be changed uniting soul and spirit together, (becoming Glorified)  Then all three stages of body, soul and spirit blend as “one”  The same as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost united together as “One”  (marvelous!)  (Read – I Cor. 15: 40-44).  (The soul is the personality connected to The Spirit)

I continued with the Sermon:

You came to repentance (salvation) in order for you to keep your spirit that was part of God before it came into your physical body.  That spirit “had no beginning and has no end and is like unto God!”

You were always with God and you will always be with God for eternity.

Eternal life, God Himself, is His gift to us.

Romans 6: 23: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Eternal life that the Lord God has given to each of His own has no beginning and has no end.

“The real eternal spirit which God gives His saints had no beginning and has no end and is like unto God!  That is why after death our body is changed into the inner immortal spirit, that is why it is called eternal life, it always was and always will be with God!  And He breathed it into each of us (Gen. 2: 7)”.

Your eternal life is hidden with God, inside God.

Colossians 3: 3:  “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”

For your life to be hidden with God inside God means it is part of God.

Colossians 3: 4:  “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

This Scripture states Christ is “our life”.  The Almighty God is our “eternal life.  That is why you will live in eternity with Him.

You have the certainty of being translated with the Lord because it states:  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

You heard the word of truth, you believed the gospel of your salvation and you were sealed with Him for the translation.

Ephesians 1: 13 – 14:   “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation:  in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”

Psalm 103: 1-3:  “BLESS the LORD, O my soul:  and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases”.
