Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, February 6, 2022

Introduction:  Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, February 6, 2022

This sermon talks about the fact that the Lord does not forget His promise because it has already come to pass, as far as He is concerned.

Everything is past to Him”.  “He already knows all that is future”.

Psalm 90: 4:  “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.”

None of us is a thousand years old.  It means the Lord could have told you on the day you were born everything you will be doing and when you will be doing them for the rest of your life on this earth, because with the Lord, all of it has already taken place.  It is like “yesterday when it is past”.

Faith catches God’s realm.  It sees things the way the Lord sees them.  It believes every promise of God will come to pass because it has already taken place, as far as the Lord is concerned.  It is settled in the soul.  You are also walking in the future with the Lord.

Matthew 6: 31 – 32:  “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat?  or, What shall we drink?  or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”

This is a promise from the Lord to each one of us that He already knows what we need and it has already taken place, as far as He is concerned.

Every second in your future is a second that the Lord Jesus has already taken care of because it is already in the past to Him.

All that the Lord has in the future for you is already yours because as far as He is concerned, it has already come to pass.

Romans 6: 23:  “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

This Scripture refers to “the gift of God”, as if all other gifts that we receive from Him are derived off this gift.  It states:  “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

You cannot receive a greater gift than eternal life.  You cannot receive a greater gift than the Lord God giving Himself to you; He is eternal life.

You will be blessed.

Summary of Sermon preached on Sunday, February 6, 2022

We listened to a sermon titled “In Due Time”, CD # 897, preached by Brother Neal Frisby on 5/23/82 (AM).

In the sermon, Brother Frisby said:

God’s promises are not forgotten, but come to pass at due time.

Psalm 105: 17 – 22:  “He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:  Whose feet they hurt with fetters:  he was laid in iron:  Until the time that his word came:  the word of the LORD tried him.  The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.  He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:  To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.”

The Lord has not forgotten your prayers.

A promise was given to Joseph and he told his brothers.

Genesis 37: 5 – 8:  “And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren:  and they hated him yet the more.  And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I had dreamed:  For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.  And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us?  or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us?  And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.”

The Lord never forgets His promise.

Even if what is happening to you seems to be the opposite of the Lord’s promise, do you have the faith to hold onto God’s word?

Faith looks at nothing, but deliverance.

Joseph was sold as a servant by his brothers and brought into Egypt (Genesis chapter 37).  He was falsely accused by a woman in Egypt of what he had not done for which his master put him in prison (Genesis chapter 39).  In prison, he interpreted the dreams of the butler and baker (Genesis chapter 40).

Joseph reached on and believed God; he would not turn loose; in the darkest hour, he did not lose faith.

God has not forgotten any of you or His promise to you.

God did not forget the promise that He gave to Joseph.

The Lord does not forget His promises.

Psalm 106: 9 – 13:  “He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up:  so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.  And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.  And the waters covered their enemies:  there was not one of them left.  Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.  They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel”.

Psalm 106: 21:  “They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt”.

If the Lord performed a miracle for you, maybe years ago, you do not want to soon forget His work or His promises.  You do not want to be the person that will no longer wait on His counsel.

The children of Israel forgot His great work.

Wait for the Lord’s counsel and He will guide you.

If you don’t forget what the Lord once did for you, He will remember you when next you need something.

He was the fourth man in the fire when the three Hebrew children were thrown into the fiery furnace (Daniel 3: 23 – 25).

The Lord Jesus, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Creator, was with Daniel in the lions’ den (Daniel 6: 16 – 24).  The lions recognized Him, but the Jews did not recognize Him when He came as the Messiah.

Sometimes you are tried, but the Lord has not forgotten you.  The things you have prayed about will still come to pass.

God did not forget His promise to Abraham; Isaac was born (Genesis 21: 1 – 3).  God gave Sarah the inside of a young woman in order for her to be able to give birth to Isaac at her old age.

The Lord has not forgotten the true Israel.

The translation will take place.  The great revival will come.

God knew you before you came to this earth and His promises are yours for eternity.

Psalm 107: 19 -20:  “Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.  He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Psalm 107: 43:  “Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.”

Sometimes, it may look just the opposite of what you have prayed for or what you want.  Your faith is not true faith unless it is tested.

God has not forgotten one of His promises or healing.

Faith says it will be like what God has said in His word.

I started the sermon:

Psalm 90: 1 – 4:  “LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.  Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.  Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.  For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.”

None of us is a thousand years old.  It means the Lord could have told you on the day you were born everything you will be doing and when you will be doing them for the rest of your life on this earth, because with the Lord, all of it has already taken place.  It is like “yesterday when it is past”.

This Scripture could have stated a million years or a trillion years or more in God’s sight are but as yesterday when it is past because everything in the future is already past to the Lord.

The Lord already knows all about your life.

Psalm 139: 1 – 12:  “O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.  Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.  Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.  For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.  Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.  Whither shall I go from thy spirit?  or whither shall I flee from thy presence?  If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:  if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.  If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.  If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.  Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day:  the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.”

The Lord already knows everything about you.  This Scripture states:  “For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.”

Faith catches God’s realm.  It sees things the way the Lord sees them.  It believes every promise of God will come to pass because it has already taken place, as far as the Lord is concerned.  It is settled in the soul.  You are also walking in the future with the Lord.

Ephesians 1: 7:  “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace”.

Faith believes this Scripture.  It means just what it states.  You now have redemption through His blood; you now have the forgiveness of your sins.  It is settled in your soul.  It does not matter what anyone else may say.

Romans 8: 1 – 2:  “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

There is therefore now no condemnation to you as you are in Christ Jesus.  The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has already made you free from the law of sin and death.  Faith believes this Scripture.  It does not matter what anyone else may say.

Everything in the future is already past to the Lord.

Colossians 3: 3 – 4:  “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

Your life, right now, is hidden in the Lord Jesus, the Almighty God, and you will appear with Him in glory when the translation takes place.  The translation is in the future to us, but to the Lord it has already taken place.  He can therefore assure you that you will appear with Him in glory.

2 Corinthians 1: 20:  “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”

All the promises of God are “yea” and they are all “Amen”; they have all already taken place, as the Lord is concerned.

1 Thessalonians 4: 16 – 17:  “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

This Scripture describes what will happen at the time of translation because it has already taken place, as far as the Lord is concerned.

Therefore, the Lord can describe to you exactly what will happen when the translation takes place:  The dead in Christ shall rise first, and then, those of us who are alive and remain in the Lord shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, “and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

He dwells in eternity.

Isaiah 57: 15:  “For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy”.

The Lord already knows everything that will happen in the future of the entire universe because it is all in the past to Him.

I read from Scroll # 23, Part II:

TIME AND ETERNITY – (The Past, Present and Future)  They are all the same to God (He created time when He created death)  What is time?  There is no such thing as time with God.  (It is eternal)  Time was created when God announced death on Adam and Eve.  If they or people did not have to die there would be no such thing as time!  It would be eternal.  Dying produces a “Time Limit” – to God there is no past or future.  Everything is past to Him, “He already knows all that is future.”  That makes it all past tense!  The fourth or all dimensions are only normal to Him, (but future to us)  There is no beginning or ending with God.  So there is no time for Him, only man has a time limit (cycle) and it is about finished!

I continued with the Sermon:

This scroll states:  “Everything is past to Him”.  “He already knows all that is future”.

Numbers 23: 19:  “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:  hath he said, and shall he not do it?  or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

The reason why the Lord can make a promise to you and know it will come to pass is because with Him, it has already come to pass.  It is already in the past to Him.

Matthew 6: 25 – 33:  “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.  Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?  Behold the fowls of the air:  for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.  Are ye not much better than they?  Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?  And why take ye thought for raiment?  Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:  And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?  Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat?  or, What shall we drink?  or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

The Lord does not want you to worry about what you will eat, what you will drink or what you will wear.  It states:  “for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”  This is a promise from the Lord to each of us that He already knows what we need and it has already been provided, as far as He is concerned.

Philippians 4: 19:  “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

This is a promise from the Lord to supply all of our needs and, as far as He is concerned, it has already taken place.

Every second in your future is a second that the Lord Jesus has already taken care of because it is already in the past to Him.

This next Scroll mentions what the Lord will show to us hereafter.  He can reveal them to us now because He already knows all that is in the future.

I read from Scroll # 244:

BEAUTIFUL CITIES – Jesus, you are more than this who created all the beauty around us and the awesome heavens, universes and stars!  One day beside the Holy City we will see beautiful cities and places of such wonder of thy creation! Besides the stars and heavens you have created magnificent things that we have not seen!  “Beautiful colors of icy wonder like, of spiritual fires and lights of such beauty, and creatures likewise of such formation that we will be amazed and startled by such a creator of so many more things that can not be mentioned and are without number!  Such glorious spiritual colors never seen or beheld by man’s eyes!”  Surely and definitely many marvelous mysteries await us that love Him!  Literally more than trillions of creations will He unveil to His chosen!  – After this was revealed to me I wondered how to unveil it and then I remembered God’s Word that could have to do with the millennium.  (Luke 19: 16-19)  But also may involve what was told.  Nevertheless the elect are in for many surprises that eye hath not seen!

I continued with the Sermon:

In addition to the awesome heavens, universes and stars, we will see “beautiful cities” – not just one city, but “cities”, that the Lord has created.  We will see the Holy City (the new Jerusalem).  We will see beautiful colors of icy wonder like; we will see glorious spiritual colors; we will see spiritual fires and lights of such beauty; we will see creatures of such formation that we currently have no idea about.  We will be startled by such a Creator.  What he has created are without number.  We will see more than trillions of His creations.

Revelation 21: 1 – 3:  “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:  for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”

This Scripture states:  Apostle John “saw” a new heaven and a new earth; he “saw” the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven.

These events are still way in the future, but Apostle John states I “saw” them because they have already taken place, as far as the Lord is concerned.  The Lord showed the future to John which is already in the past to Him.

All that the Lord has in the future for you is already yours because as far as He is concerned, it has already come to pass.

You want to thank the Lord Jesus, the Almighty God, every day for giving Himself to you, “the gift of God”, eternal life.
