Introduction

The church in Sardis had works, but was spiritually dead (Revelation 3: 1).

You have churches today among Pentecostals, and among different interdenominational, different churches, they are packed out, they have works, you can’t beat them in good works, in different works, and He said, but where is the Holy Spirit. What good is it to be packed out if they are dead, saith the Lord.

The body, soul, and spirit: Now in there, you have this little soul of yours, he’s little soul in there, spiritual soul, the spiritual heart.

And the body, it’s just there. See, it shall be like a covering, put away in the grave.

And the spirit, the personality that says, Thus saith the Lord, he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. That is that little personality that’s just talking. It’s talking, and using my voice, it’s using my expressions of the Spirit by using my hands like that. It’s like electric that moves the clock hand.

The moment that you believe in your heart, and that salvation comes in you, you pass from death unto life. Although if you die on this earth, you must be buried, but that spirit will go back unto God.

But potentially, when you take the Lord Jesus, He has justified death that is in your system. He has defied satanic death.

And the moment you believe, you have the Lord Jesus, you’ve got eternal life.

The moment, not five minutes later, not the next day, that you truly believe the Lord Jesus in your heart, salvation comes into your soul, you pass from death unto life.

What a God, the only One that has eternal life, the only One that lives, the ever living. “The mighty God”, our Lord Jesus Christ (Isaiah 9: 6), that stopped long enough and gave up part of His eternal life to millions, and millions, and millions, of angels, and to each one of us that believes in Him. He is Omnipotent, all God Almighty, He needs nothing, He is self-sufficient, but out of His heart, He wanted to share that.

Lord Jesus, we thank you from the bottom of our heart for giving us part of your eternal life, and we shall thank you for it throughout eternity.

Summary of the Sermon

We listened to a sermon titled “Spiritual Eyes and Ears”, CD # 1090, preached by Brother Neal Frisby.

In the sermon, Brother Frisby said:

Spiritual eyes and ears: That’s what we need today. You have physical ears, you have physical mind, you have five senses, and so forth like that, but your spiritual faith comes from somewhere else. That is within you, it’s a substance.

Now, today, people say, how can we escape all of these things that are coming, the nuclear holocaust hanging over our head, all of these crises that we entering in today, how can we escape hades and the destruction of nations? By belief in the word of God. That’s the only way of escape from hades, that’s the only way of escape from destruction of the nations, is to believe in the Scriptures, and what the Scriptures tell you.

By believing the Scriptures, God will find you a way of escape out of this, and you shall stand before Him. You cannot do it yourself, through your wisdom or knowledge.

The Bible said some people are dead while they are yet alive because of rejecting the gospel, that is, the full gospel, and not just by saying full gospel, but it is the word of God, the fullness of God’s word. And by rejecting that, and your neighbor reject the gospel, and the nations who reject the gospel, they are dead while they are yet walking around, the Bible said.

In Revelation, says this, he that hath an ear, spiritual ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches (Revelation 2: 29).

And Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy to the church. He predicted just exactly what was going to take place. And finally, He said right at the end, all of them mixing, mingling together, the hot getting with the cold in there, trying to help the cold, couldn’t get out, got trapped, and all of them together, and when you put heat and cold together, it becomes lukewarm. And He said I will spew them out of my mouth.

I stand at the door knocking, ready, all of the time right up to the final hour. Behold, I stand at the door, and I knock, have spiritual ears and spiritual eyes, let him hear what the Spirit sayeth unto the churches.

Now, spiritual death: How did Jesus approach this? Jesus said, follow me, let the dead bury their dead (Matthew 8: 22). My work is more important than what they are doing. All their job is to do, seemingly, a procession of a funeral, and of wedding, and a few more things. Not that He was against any of that, but, He also was trying to reveal that those Pharisees, and those systems, He had a good point to bring out there, that they’re as dead as the ones they’re putting in the ground. They are dead, saith the Lord, while they yet live. So, the spiritually dead bury the physically dead. And today, the systems are the same as the dead that they are burying. They are dead the same way. I know thy works.

His word, let the dead bury their dead, follow me, follow the spiritual things, follow power, put action to your prayers, do as I do, be an example, cast out devils, heal the sick, believe by the power of the Lord, move in my power, follow me.

Now, if any person just said follow me, or an angel, follow me, or any other thing, follow me, but when the Almighty said let the dead bury the dead and follow me, that can’t be beat. That cannot be added unto, saith the Lord, or taken away from, follow me. And if you follow Him, then, saith the Lord, you’ll do the works that I do. The human nature that goes up to this is a vapor, saith the Lord, and shall pass away. He’s but a vapor, fool said in his heart there is no God.

Pour my Spirit out upon all flesh: You can’t say, well, I’m black, or I’m yellow, or I’m an Indian, or I’m white, or I’m this. He said, I’ll pour out my Spirit on you there. He would even pour out in those dead movements, and some of those movements, there’ll be a great kind of lightning power coming through there off the bride, off the midnight cry when it moves. There’ll be a quick, powerful, short work.

Many jump up to get it, they couldn’t make it. They run, they said we know now what it is. We’ve let all our oil gone. We’ve got to get it in here. Those are the ones that are walking around, those ones are fleeing into the wilderness, a few good churches I told you about, a few good people in those systems are fleeing into the wilderness. And others had it right there, at the midnight cry.

That word, and power, and faith, is the most important thing in your life. That is the treasure of the Universe.

Now, the believer passes from spiritual death. He said, he that heareth my word has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.

The moment that you believe in your heart, and only by predestination can you really believe who you are, is predestinated too, those will believe it in their heart. The moment that you believe in your heart, and that salvation comes in you, you pass from death unto life. Although if you die on this earth, you must be buried, but that spirit will go back unto God.

Jesus said, be of good cheer; He said, let not your heart be troubled; He said, be at ease; He said, be peaceful; He said, you are just going to pass on and meet me again.

But potentially, when you take the Lord Jesus, He has justified death that is in your system. He has defied satanic death. And the moment you believe, you have the Lord Jesus, you’ve got eternal life, and potentially as you live for God, and believe in the Lord with your heart, you’re going to meet Him, and he shall pass from death unto life.

In the resurrections, it’s the first resurrection, and then blessed is he, has part in the first resurrection.

Now the first resurrection is a major one that takes place for the translation, and the ones in the grave, they go up to meet Christ.

But before that, there’s been one resurrection, that was Christ when He was resurrected, and He said, and now is, some of them, meaning that He would bring some out of the grave right then. There was a first fruits, according to the Scriptures. At the cross, when He died, He was resurrected, here comes the others. And it was a witness to many believers, and they saw them as they come out of the graves with Jesus, and they were taken (Matthew 27: 52 – 53). That’s one being resurrected there, and gone up with Jesus.

There is another resurrection. And that’s the one we are waiting on now that comes with the translation.

Then, what is considered in that first resurrection before it cuts off? How about those that died in the tribulation or beheaded? They are in the first, they’ve got to be. The two witnesses are beheaded, and they are resurrected up. How about the gleaning? How about those, a few will die in the millennium.

There is also been already three translations, pointing to what, the major translation. Enoch translated, Elijah translated, Jesus translated, that’s three. All of those are pointing to the major resurrection, and the other from Enoch, and Elijah, so forth, their translation, and Jesus’, when He come and translated too, that’s pointing to the major translation.

We always look at the major translation, and it is near now, and the resurrection of those that believe in Christ, caught up, that’s the major one that we are attending to.

Remember, there’s going to be a shout, that’s the great message coming now, then a voice, the graves open, then the trumpet, they gather to the marriage supper. The Lord Himself shall descend, and with the voice of an archangel.

He that eateth of the bread from heaven shall never die, and potentially, you have eternal life. As you have Him as your Savior, He is your intercessor, and He shall stand, He’s your advocate, He’s your lawyer, He’s your judge, He’s all in all.

Believers in Christ shall never die, spiritually: You pass into a bliss.

The church in Sardis had works, but was spiritually dead. And unto the angel of the church, it had a messenger, in Sardis, write; These things saith He that hath the seven Spirits of God, that’s the seven revelations of the Almighty that’s going to the different church ages, a little bit in this church age, steps up the Spirit in the next church age, steps up, steps up, steps up, till the seven lamps of light upon the church at the end of the ages, and the seven stars, messengers in His hand, they do His work and power, and hand of authority. I know thy works, Sardis, thou hast the name, they built a name, finally, that thou livest, and art dead.

What He said, thou art full of works, you packed them out, full of works, but you are dead while you are alive.

So, the church in Sardis had works, but was spiritually dead finally.

He that heareth the word in stony places with joy receiveth. And this is what happened to them. Having no root, is offended by persecution; because of the word, they fell away into their own systems, ashamed now of what we first had, we are big now, we’ve got plenty of money, how are we going to get all of them rich people.

The power of Pentecost, and how the gift of miracles begin to bring the true thing that was there, and the power of the Holy Spirit: Watch, when these powerful gifts come, and they come in diving love and power, and they are done according to the word of God, you can’t beat it. There’s nothing in this world can beat those gifts, and the power of the Holy Spirit, but there must be action. In the right time, He will move. There’ll be great witnessing, that can’t be left out, bold witnessing, and power upon this earth.

But they are witnessing, their testimonies, and their action will be full of power, not just good works that Sardis finally went into, and dead. You are full of works, but you are dead.

So, they are offended and ashamed of the power, the power of the Holy Spirit that begin to move, the power of tongues, the power of Pentecost, the power that will raise people that were dying of cancer, and if they drop dead, raise them back, He even promised that in His power.

And the way that the Spirit would move and condemn people, and the Holy  Spirit will move in such a way, and bring such an outpourings of blessings, and bring people out of demon cases, which were mentally, couldn’t help themselves, insanity cases, and all of that, God begin to move on the scene, and shows us just exactly what He wanted. And He wants what He did, and the same power, He wants the same compassion too, and the same forgiveness too, and the same miraculous. You’ve got to have both. Without forgiveness, there is no such thing as the gospel because that is the keystone, that is the very foundation of why He came, that He forgave all of those, even those at the cross. All of those that did things to Him, He forgave them. And without forgiveness, there can be no gospel. And those that can forgive in their heart, and have compassion, yea, they shall have power.

He that heareth the word in stony places, with joy received it. It was kind of hard places, they heard it, and they received it with joy, but having no root, he is offended by persecution, and is offended by being ashamed, because of the word, he falls away.

And he that heareth among the thorns, the cares of this life just reach in, and they choke him out. He’s too busy. “See, I’ve got to buy this, I’ve got to do this, I’ve got to go over here, and it just finally chokes him out. Well, today, I have something else to do, besides going down and hearing that preacher. I’ve got something else to do besides seeking God”, too busy, just chokes him out there.

He that heareth the word in good ground bringeth forth fruit and power. Bringeth 30 to 60, and finally, a hundredfold will set in there. We’ve been in the 30, we’ve come through the 60, yea, we are coming to the hundredfold.

Blessings on those who hear and do the word of God: Blessed are they that hear and keep this word. You know the Bible said those that read the Book of Revelations are blessed. There’s a special blessing on the Book of Revelations, just by reading it. There’s a blessing there.

Blessed are they that hear the word of God and keep it, and that hear and do the word of God. These are Christ’s brethren. These are my disciples.

He that heareth and doeth Christ’s sayings is automatically a wise man.

He that keep Christ’s sayings shall never see death. Verily, verily, that’s twice, truly, truly, I say unto you, if a man keep my sayings, he shall never see death (John 8: 51).

He shall never see death. That means, spiritually speaking, Jesus also said, you know, grave will come for many generations to bury them, but the body passes on, but the spirit comes to me.

Now in you, there’s three, body, soul and mind.

Now in there, you have this little soul of yours, he’s little soul in there, spiritual soul, the spiritual heart. The spiritual soul laying right against with that spirit personality.

And the body, it’s just there. See, it shall be like a covering, put away in the grave. But that little soul’s personality, spirit, laying right next to that spirit, it goes back to God.

And the spirit, the personality that says, Thus saith the Lord, he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. That is that little personality that’s just talking. It’s talking, and using my voice, it’s using my expressions of the Spirit, by using my hands like that. It’s like electric that moves the clock hand.

So, in that soul, see, the real you is not that physical body out there. That is just a covering, you operate that by your thoughts from your brain. It’s the spirit that’s within you. And that spirit within you, he is the one that says I will believe God in my heart. But the flesh can’t do that. I believe God in my heart, and what I have in my heart, and that little soul is that personality you. You can’t destroy it, saith the Lord, only I can do that.

Men can blow you all to pieces, he put you inside of an atomic bomb, a shark can eat you in the sea, that makes no difference. So, they’re never destroy the real person in you. Your flesh may look like it disappeared, but there’s no way known to man to get rid of that little soul and spirit, that is the eternal spark, saith the Lord.

Can you imagine someone that is eternal, the only One, the only potentate, the only One that has eternal life, the only One that lives, the ever living, for ever, and ever, and ever; can you imagine someone like that stop long enough, and share that, sometimes with a bunch of hardheads, that won’t listen to His word, and He stopped, not only to give to millions, and millions, and millions, of angels? See, He’s all omnipotent, all God Almighty, He needs nothing, He is self-sufficient, but out of His heart, He wanted to share that. And just think, He gave up part of His eternal life to each one of you that will believe that. You are dealing with the Almighty, and it is true. His heart is exactly like that, it’s not like man. They may not want to share anything, if it was human that had that kind of power, but each one of us, by predestination too, it will step in that picture, He’ll get what He’s got, remember that. He keeps, He holds, He has; it’ll be there; and the groups are lined up in different places, so forth like that.

So, that spark, He called it, of eternal life that is part of Him. It can never be destroyed in that soul right there. But He says, fear him who can destroy both body and soul (Matthew 10: 28).

Sanctification through the word of God: Will just cleanse it, mentally, physically, clean out the diseases, take away the diseases. The word of God will just take out the germs, and make you happy and well.

Receiving the word of God: Let these sayings sink down in your heart and ears, in your heart. Let these sayings sink down in your ears (Luke 9: 44).

Now, why did He say let these sayings sink, spiritual ears, sink down. But if you listen, just let these sayings of faith and power, let it sink down, meaning, give it some thought, reason with it, think of these things, let them be in your heart, your mind and in your soul. Let them sink down into your soul.

This type of message will deliver you; it will set you up on your feet, it will give you confidence, it will give you faith, and time is running out, and this is the kind of messages that we need to stop from going back into lukewarmness, and to create, and have more faith and power. How do you get more faith and power? From preventing anything from closing on the faith and power that you’ve already received. It’s cut that other off and come on into deeper power, and deeper faith. And again, the Bible said, in Revelations, he that hath an ear, spiritually, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches (Revelation 2: 29). And Jesus’ Spirit of prophecy is talking to the churches today.

I read from Scroll # 43:

THE ELECT SPIRITS WHICH WERE PART OF GOD, BEFORE THE ELECT BODY WAS CREATED – The real you (the spiritual part) was with God before it was appointed a body upon the earth through seed. There is a fleshly seed and a spiritual seed which was united! The real eternal spirit which God gives His saints had no beginning and has no end and is like unto God! That is why after death our body is changed into the inner immortal spirit, that is why it is called eternal life, it always was and always will be with God! And He breathed it into each of us (Gen. 2: 7) “Behold saith the Lord do ye not know this Scripture? Ye were with Me when the Morning Stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy!” (Job 38: 6,7) Our flesh body came upon earth by birth uniting with His spirit which was always with Him! And when we repent (salvation) we keep this spirit in order to always live with Him!! Read (Isa. 1:9 – Eph. 1:4) (Satan’s seed is a group, also the Lord has created a place for them.)

THE BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT – (When the spirit leaves the body, the soul and spirit become one) The body carries the soul and the eternal spirit (Gift of deity) ignites the soul body with life, and it becomes a “living personality” of the spirit! The body (flesh) often waring against “the spirit soul” which is the real you! The elect body will be changed uniting soul and spirit together, (becoming Glorified) Then all three stages of body, soul and spirit blend as “one” The same as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost united together as “One” (marvelous!) (Read – I Cor. 15: 40-44). (The soul is the personality connected to The Spirit)

Now in there, you have this little soul of yours, he’s little soul in there, spiritual soul, the spiritual heart. The spiritual soul laying right against with that spirit personality.

“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”Ecclesiastes 12: 7

But potentially, when you take the Lord Jesus, He has justified death that is in your system. He has defied satanic death.

“To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”Romans 3: 26

And the moment you believe, you have the Lord Jesus, you’ve got eternal life.

The moment, not five minutes later, not the next day, that you truly believe the Lord Jesus in your heart, salvation comes into your soul, you pass from death unto life.

Lord Jesus, we thank you from the bottom of our heart for giving us part of your eternal life, and we shall thank you for it throughout eternity.
