The following are the foundational beliefs of Gospel Word Ministry, Inc. These beliefs are drawn directly from the Holy Scriptures and are the basis for all that we teach and do.
We believe that the Holy Bible — both Old and New Testaments — is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions must be measured. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe in one God — eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, and present everywhere — who reveals Himself in Scripture as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These are not three separate gods but one God manifest in three persons. Isaiah 9:6 reveals that the child born in Bethlehem is called “The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father” — pointing to the full divinity of Jesus Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became human, born of a virgin, to live a sinless life and die on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world. He rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return personally to establish His kingdom. He is the only way of salvation. (John 14:6)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the repentant sinner, and indwells every believer at the moment of salvation. The Spirit empowers believers to live holy lives, gives spiritual gifts for ministry, and guides the church in truth. (John 16:7–13; Romans 8:9)
We believe that all human beings are born in sin as a consequence of Adam’s fall. Every person has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). This means that without God’s gracious intervention, every person stands under the judgment of God and in need of a Savior.
We believe that salvation is a free gift from God, received through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by human effort, good works, religious ritual, or moral achievement. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8–9)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved. Those who have placed their faith in Christ will enjoy eternal life with God. Those who have rejected Christ will face eternal separation from God. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation and guarantee of the believer’s resurrection. (John 5:28–29; 1 Corinthians 15)
We believe in the universal church — the body of Christ — composed of all who have truly trusted in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The local church is a community of baptized believers who gather to worship, learn, serve, and spread the Gospel. The church is called to preach the Word, make disciples, and love God and neighbor.
We believe that Jesus’ command to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) is binding on every generation of believers. Gospel Word Ministry is committed to fulfilling this commission by preaching, teaching, distributing the Word, and serving the poor in the name of Jesus Christ.
We believe that prayer is essential to the life of every believer and to the ministry of the church. We are called to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), to bring all our requests to God, and to depend on Him for wisdom, provision, protection, and direction. Every ministry initiative at Gospel Word Ministry is bathed in prayer.
